Thoughts and opinions

The new big patch looks great. It lessens the gaps between no funded and funded people. However I feel like it is also unfair to people who already spent so much on this game because they get the short end of the stick. What are your thoughts and opinions?

Nexon has always changed the rules mid game without respect to any of their players/customers. It's all about profit to them. I guess you can't blame them, but I've found that there really are some companies out there willing to take the risk of focusing on the players before the profit in the hopes that it'll create a dynamic between the player and the game/company, that encourages friendly interchange resulting in financial success and happy players that don't feel abused and caught up in a scheme where the profit motive is so obscenely visible, like it is in Maple...causing many of us to feel abused. I can't think of a person that has respect for Nexon, at least as the company that respects its players. It's too bad. Sometimes I don't want to log into the game because I don't want to give the benefit of my time and sometimes money to a company like Nexon.

Unfrotunately I made the mistake of picking Maple as my game of choice when I was 6 years old. Now I've become so sentimental about the game that I literally don't notice the negatives as much. This being because I reassessed the game and what it meant to me and realized that my experience and relationship with the game centers not on the gameplay or leveling but on being with my friends and using the game mostly as a way to augment chat.

Everyone finds their own purpose or motives for playing the game. Normally it boils down to friendship and that spark is what keeps Maple alive.

Just my opinion.

Someone literally says "lessen the gap between the rich and poor" for every new patch Nexon creates. There will always be a gap and IMO GMS has lessened it enough already by increasing the cube drop rate by a ton and making cRA instanced so now the prices for that have plummeted. And you can scrolls and enhance most equips without needing much mesos so really the gap shouldn't be "lessened" anymore.

As for the patch it looks nice but I'm scared the new 2D Skeleton animations will use up even more memory and force me to buy a new laptop.

Some of the nerfs are really unfair, like the one to Demon Avengers. Making it so their 4th job mobbing skill only hits 2 monsters leaves them with their 3rd job mobbing skill, their shields, and their Hyper.
How does it lessen the gap between funded and unfunded? All they showed us are series of major nerfs and minor buffs - nothing new, Nexon always shifts changes around to make classes OP.

There's not enough information out yet.

EDIT: It looks like they're also talking about some new stats system and equipment enhancement, but I wouldn't go as far to say this will help close the gap. Can you elaborate? Maybe I'm missing something. It just looks like they're trying to reel in fresh new customers with dazzling new visuals and content.
Nah, OP just has really bad reading comprehension skills. The patches are all about class balancing not funded nerfing. The new server they're trying in KMS might have thrown him off.

All I've seen so far were skill buffs and nerfs, that will lessen the gaps between classes, but in terms of funded and non-funded players it shifts everyone down a notch. This is because these buffs and nerfs affect ALL players. I guess if you have a funded character already capping and still capping after the nerf then I guess technically the cap was lessened
In the thing thing, it tells you that they are planning to remove cash items that enhances your character and make it more accessible (buying win mesos, drops from mobs, etc)
thats a completely different server... think about what you said and youll realize how little sense it makes at a business perspective

Um from what from what I was reading it sounds as if theres going to be a new server for this, much like how Ems has the hard mode server( or w/e its called) theres going to be a server just for this,
regular maple will still be the same if im reading correctly.

Think nexons intentions are to attract as many customers they can so its better that its less pay2win so its easier for more people to reach end game. Also I don't think it matters if the rich get the short end of the stick because they will continue to spend anyways and will still be ahead in terms of items still
What is the new big patch in question? I haven't really been keeping up with maple news
Big nerfs and buffs. You can get some cash items in field (such as scrolls that enhance your gear) starforce is cheaper 10-14 stars and yeah
