Do not get why people care so much about Korrasami. Ye its great I guess but does it matter if she was with Asami or Mako? Not really. Not to mention the only people that will know its actuakky Korrasami is if you care enough about the show to go on the creators tumblr.
I liked the couple and would have liked to see them end up with each other. Having this ending, I was content. I understood the limitations because it's an American show. I wouldn't have cared this much for a confirmation, if I hadn't been insulted at least 20 times by homophobes who didn't even want to admit the slight chance that this relationship was even hinted.
Honestly, the only reason I even cared at this point was because people were completely denying me the ability to like this couple.
I wanted them to kiss at the end.

This.... This quote right here. just let it sink in. =]
I'm glad they went about it the way they did. I don't have a problem with gays or lesbians but it's very irritating when a show or anything in general have to show off and shove down everyone's throats that they support the LGBT community. Subtlety was the key to not start arguments and totally split the community with a controversial ending like that.
To be fair, the tumblr post makes it clear that the network put limits on how they handled the relationship. It pretty much had to be subtle.
I think we are in the day and age when things like being homosexual or bisexual shouldn't be a big issue. There will always be a fraction of the fanbase that will never accept this ending.
I personally didn't care who she ended up with. I was actually fine with her ending up with nobody, and then getting together with someone off screen in an epilogue or something. Time to watch all the homophomes burn and cry.
I don't get why they would add that for the last few seconds, it changes nothing and only did it for the publicity
Sometimes writers feel like putting stuff in, even if it changes nothing. Usually at an end of a season finale, writers put some type of new beginning, so that if they get another season, there's already a bridge to build on.
I'd say it was already strongly implied once they turned and faced each other like that. Like okay I can see the hand holding being passed of as just their friendship. But gazing into each others eyes with their faces so close to each other? Nah that's not something "just friends" do lol. But yeah, it's nice to have the creators confirm it for all the nay sayers that would probably keep denying it.
Also, I liked your sarcastic reply in the other thread. Exactly the way I thought when I kept seeing people say "that doesn't prove it was a romantic thing"
I think what you said plus this image pretty much confirmed it: http://i3.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/000/883/492/9f5.jpg
props to who ever noticed it.

If they had left it at just the one hand holding and walking into the spirit portal, I would have probably been less persistent on what I thought was implied. Though the double hand hold and the staring in silence just kind of felt weird for a friendship.

LoK is quite popular so they didn't need to do it for the publicity.
