Bowmaster

Bowmaster 5th job

First patch: https://orangemushroom.net/2016/07/14/kms-ver-1-2-259-maplestory-v-5th-job/
Second patch: https://orangemushroom.net/2016/07/28/kms-ver-1-2-262-maplestory-v-chew-chew-island/
Third patch: https://orangemushroom.net/2016/08/17/kms-ver-1-2-263-maplestory-v-lucid/

Bowmaster's Character Card and Wind Archer's Character Card have been changed to a **+DEX** increase (Character Cards are not affected by %stat increases). +10/+20/+40/+80 DEX at B/A/S/SS ranks.

Phoenix will now show up in the top right corner where your buffs are. You can right-click it to de-summon Phoenix.

Focused Fury's cooldown has been removed (permanent 120 Status Resist when attacking now).

Hero's Will can now clear additional status effects.

Core Gemstones give a random Skill Node, Boost Node, or a Special Node, and they can be obtained through quests and through drops in the Arcane River area.

The skills that you obtain from Node can be given EXP (and be leveled up once it has enough EXP) by combining Nodes of the same type.

You can also break down useless Nodes and exchange the pieces for a Node Gemstone or for a Node of your choice.

You'll get 10 Node Shards when breaking down Boost Nodes, 40 Node Shards when breaking down Skill Nodes, and 50 Node Shards when breaking down Special Nodes.

At the exchange NPC, you can trade in your V Core Pieces for:
Node Gemstone: 35 pieces
Boost Node (choose the base node): 70 pieces
Skill Node (choose): 140 pieces
Special Node (choose): 250 pieces

You can equip and manage your skills in the V Matrix.

When you advance to 5th job, you'll have 4 slots in the V Matrix that you can equip your skills in. Every 6 levels after that, you'll unlock one slot, like so:

200: 4 slots
206: 5 slots
212: 6 slots
218: 7 slots
224: 8 slots
230: 9 slots
236: 10 slots
242: 11 slots
248: 12 slots

@skythedestroyer: It actually uses all of the arrows. And it consumes arrows per mob hit so its really fast going through all the Quiver arrows. It's pretty funny with Magic Arrows if you're hitting a lot of mobs with Arrow Rain, since like 10 fire arrows will fly out all at once (what's a Wind Archer?).

@orangemushrooms: Thanks! So Arrow Rain activates Quiver...is it a passive Quiver effect like Arrow Blaster (doesn't consume Quiver arrowheads but does activate Blood and Poison effects but not Magic Arrows), or is it an actual Quiver consumption like you're using Hurricane and activates Magic Arrows as well? If it's the latter that's actually pretty incredible.

@skythedestroyer: It seems like it does not activate AFA (but it does activate Quiver!).

Just based on a couple of basic tests, it hits ~8-10 times per second-ish (I got 15 hits in 2 seconds a couple of times and 25 hits in 2.5 seconds)

Archer Mastery only gives the increased range, speed and maximum speed now.

@orangemushrooms: Thanks, fixed. Got a question if you don't mind:

So I was looking at your Arrow Rain video and saw that it procs Mortal Blow and Armor Break. Pretty awesome! Does it proc AFA as well? (Battle Statistics to the rescue once again)

And also, I'm curious on how many hits per second Arrow Rain does a second if you don't mind.

EDIT: One last thing: what'd they do with the Accuracy +225, Avoidability +225 boost from Archery Mastery in 1st job?

Actually, Enhancement Skills don't give boss damage! I don't know why but they removed them from the descriptions and changed the formula so you would need level 70 to get the boss damage lol.

Updated for KMS 1.2.262 completely, and also added some more information.

Skill Cores max at 25 now instead of 20, and Enhancement Cores now max at 50 instead of 40. Also, Enhancement Cores now receive +20% boss damage at level 50.

EDIT: Actually, they don't give boss damage. Thanks Max.

Arrow blow is such a strange thing to give an enhancement to. It's nice that they combine these cores into up to 3 way skill enhancements.

I think what most people are going to want to focus on for bossing is :

Hurricane, Final Attack, Quiver, Phoenix and blaster.

And if you care about training and don't one hit things

Stream, Gust, Phoenix and blaster.

@twopointonefour: Max uploaded a video on Guided Arrow.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6IicHhwPZiE

It's just like DA's Nether Shield, rather than a summon like Phoenix is.

EDIT (since I can't double post):

https://orangemushroom.net/2016/07/07/kmst-ver-1-2-036-5th-job-ui-changes/

Changes for BM:

Guided Arrow (common Archer skill) has been changed from a 45 second duration summon that deals 520% x 10 to a 20 second duration summon that deals 750% x 30. Yes, 30.
Arrow Rain has been changed from 400% x 5 with a 45% damage boost for 100 seconds to 750% x 5 with a 40% damage boost for 90 seconds.
Phoenix will now show up in the corner where your buffs are and display a duration time. You can now cancel Phoenix by right-clicking.

Rest of the changes have been added to the first post.

Finally all updated, Guided Arrow is 520% x 10. Pretty powerful summon.

This thread cleared up a bunch of questions... it's going to be time consuming to get the best enhancements.

Oh! The bowmaster and wind archer character cards have changed! They now add DEX(AB style). Yay a somewhat useful character card at long last.

Gah OP should've made this a "bowman" thread. Ceebs making a Mercedes thread (L> thread to hijack and dump calcs).

Well are you allowed to get more than one Enhancement Core? If so.. you'd probably want to add hurricane, quiver, FA and blaster maybe leftovers to phoenix. Arrow Rain is nice, it's a buff that just triggers attacks.

Little nitpick, 300% final damage is a 4x multiplier (100% final damage is 2x, etc).

Was disappointing with what Bms got, but if buff duration effects it then at a certain lvl it will reach 100% up time : D
