thats so weird i also saw this thing on the news where a white child shot up a school also one blew up a marathon crazy o.o

The idea is that there would be one in the class, but it would not be easy for kids to get.

yes in case of a school shooting (lets be honest its rare)
police wont be able to be there in time
id rather have a teacher try to defend rather than him/her hiding (along with the students)
security guards are too expensive
A student could steal the gun even if the teacher locks it up. There are a lot of clever students and careless teachers.

oh god no some of the teachers at my old high school were mentally ill
If random teachers had concealed carry permits and training, and criminals or shooters knew about it, then they would like never go into that school unless they were extremely mentally unstable. But, that's a rare case, and it'd only turn out worse if there was no way for teachers to defend themselves, like at every other shooting.
@Doutei about 0.01% of concealed carry holders have actually hurt somebody with their gun, so it'd be barely any different with teachers. If that gym teacher wanted to, he could just bring a gun secretly and shoot people anyway.
In short: yes, they should have training and guns.
Or maybe martial arts so they can whoop anyone who comes near them.

and even if its locked up near you, kids have their ways.

Men: ur male phys-ed teacher shoves a gun to ur back while ur in the change room and force you to submit to his perversions.
Girls: teachers pulling a gun at you to shut up since you wailing out on them so hard during a class.
