Can someone just make a universal answer thread
So we don't have to deal with all these constant "is maple dying" "what do soul weapons do" "I haven't played in ____ what did I miss" etc. Like some of these people are legitimate but honestly I think half of us are all getting tired of answering these and it would be quicker just to redirect them to a universal thread like that

No it's not that's just pure laziness. It's like you not wanting to change the tv bc you can not find the remote for it. There is a search feature on the website and that should be utilized for these type of questions. There search engines such as google, yahoo, bing, etc and those should be used as well. Only time a question should be asked if you can not find it at all. Questions that have not been answered in months time and things of that sort. These type of questions the TS is talking about just creates unnecessary spam on the forums. It does not promote activity but clutters up the forum from more important threads being shown on the front page.
Obviously I didn't word this the way I wanted to but I'm going to take most of your advices and stop answering those threads. Sorry for taking your time.
This kind of attitude is what kills most "discussion" forums. There's keeping the place tidy and then there's ocd about multiple posts. Unless we have a large scale spamfest of irrelevant or redundant threads there's no need to whine and moan about people posting the same thing everyday just ignore them and move right along.

Basilmarket is already exactly what you're describing. People simply don't know how to use google.
