I'm sorry I haven't been more present. These last few years have been something else. :) I wanted to pop in and reconnect a bit and discuss some upcoming changes (everyone's favorite word!). The existing format isn't really doing justice to players and visitors. You should all be free to share screens, videos, and discuss in a simplified format, I think. Reloading Page Results In Search Sometimes when I reload a thread on Basilmarket by clicking on the URL and pressing [Enter] (Google Chrome) it results in a Google-Search instead of reloading the thread. This is very mysterious because I know for a fact i'm requesting a reload for the exact existing URL, but instead it takes me to a Google-Search of the exact URL. Anyone else experiencing this? It seems to happen most often to threads that I myself have created on Basilmarket.
Cadena, Illium, and Ark Hey Mr. Basil, when are you planning to add new classes as options on the site? My Cadena and Illium are still listed as Beginner classes and this is definitely going to happen to Ark too.
Where is mrbasil? MrBasil created a thread asking for feedback in September. Check his profile. The last recorded comment is September 22nd, 2017: SIX MONTHS ago. He asked for site feedback, people gave their opinions, and then... This place is a ghost town for a reason. Has he been spotted anywhere else online? Has he just decided to abandon us and this site for good? No posts in October No posts in November No posts in December No posts in January No posts in February No posts in March ... And nothing. Bugs are still rampant. The layout is still less intuitive than it was. Links still don't exist where they should. Predictably, here we all sit. A couple of us checking in each day, to quip about how empty it feels. Are there even any mods?

How Do I Update my Basil Profile? Maybe I'm just the dumbest sack of rocks to ever grace the internet...but I can't seem to find a place to update my profile/characters on the new BasilMarket. Am I just a little slow or is this no longer a feature?
Ideas to liven things up Hey all, hope you're doing well! It's that time of year again when people go back to school and inevitably MS / Basil quiet down. It's true, the game is so old now it probably could use a cane, but given all the updates and new content this last year it's clear that Nexon is still very much committed to keeping it fun. Although things are slowing down over the long term, each year brings a similar ebb and flow. Traditionally, fall is fairly slow due to school and then November and December become much more active and exciting periods. So don't get discouraged! I wanted to write here to reassure you that Basil isn't going anywhere! In fact, I have some ideas on how to liven things up a bit during this quiet stretch.
Feedback for upgrading Basil? Hey Basilers, hope you're well. Allergies aside, I love this time of year! How about you? I'd like to share my thoughts about the possibility of completely revamping BasilMarket so as to encourage more sharing. In short, if you're familiar with BZL I'm considering importing that engine to BasilMarket. Read on for more detail or if you're unfamiliar with BZL. Pros + more focus on sharing screens / videos - they no longer require approval as you are encouraged to post as you would on a social media site - big and small achievements, funny stuff, etc. + the functionality and user interface are FAR superior and funner + your personal profile page is really awesome, check out WatchGintama as an example + your profil
New - Forums on BZL Hi all, hope you've had a great summer! I just wanted to let you know that BZL.co now has forum functionality!! It's pretty awesome. There are forums for all sorts of game genres, Art, Shows (Anime, Streams, etc) and Music too! Check out this thread for lots of interesting anime / show recommendations. Stop locking threads also stop bumping them Population here is low enough, how about stop locking the threads, but after 20 days after creation date the thread will become unbumpable. There should also be an option to subscribe or follow a thread or w/e you call it if you want to keep up with new comments in the thread. Wasn't that a thing?

Player Pic guidelines Hi all, hope you're well. I keep thinking that Nexon will eventually get the player rankings back up, but it's been long enough that I think it's time for me to put up some info on the guideline I use to determine what player pics get ok'd / rejected. Essentially, to keep the pics looking consistent, they need to be lined and centered both vertically and horizontally. This isn't a preference, it's just how Nexon does it so it's how I've done it. Below are links to two images. The first shows my player pic centered properly. Note how the feet are standing on the line and the vertical line touches the edge of the eye. This isn't always the case as some shoes dip below the bottom line and obviously the sizes of eyes vary.
