@kevin: I'm pretty sure most of the people who were acting immature are just trolls.I don't know. I just don't get why everyone is so heated over the whole thing. It's like people ask for reboot, and then object to it because all of a suddent the game is on "equal" terms. I mean that in relation to servers that aren't reboot. It's like this world coming out has made everyone forget the negatives of the game. One of the biggest being the social aspects being erased in a lot of areas. Teamwork has been pretty core in Reboot so far on my end, and a lot of other people's so like I'm pretty happy with that. I'll just let them sit with their opinions because it's pointless to try to counter argue every troll, or angry person who replies to me on the forums.

I love how macesarecool has been giving legitimate and logical arguments and the best that people, outside of a few, can come up with is petty and childish insults. Can't you just have a discussion without getting defensive and pushing the same repetitive insults?

@dragonglord: The problem with a majority of the players is that they don't have jobs or their parents are not giving them enough money to spend. Their only form of expression is hate for players who fall in either one of those categories and it's hilarious. It also makes me laugh how people think there can be "balance" in a game. Just like real life, there needs to be a divide among upper class, middle class and lower class in order for society to function properly. This is necessary in games as well...

I have a job and I work hard for my money and I choose to use my hard earned money on whatever I want on such as games. Spending 8 hours at work to get money to spend on a game is much better than sitting on your chair and staring at the monitor for that same amount of time. What an idiot. Cry more please.

@endurance: i don't think you realize how much prices have dropped in the past year or two on those end game items due to such high availability. When Cra and magnus first came out cra armors, weapons, and tyrants were craaaazy expensive. Now you can pick up an entire set of cra for your mules for usually under 200m, although prices seem to be going up a bit cuz drop rate is reduced i think. But my point is that there aren't as "few" endgame players as you think. The only thing that only a few select groups of players can kill are lotus and dorothy and they really don't drop anything that you need for endgame. Everything else is readily available in fm at reasonable prices

@dliu456: Sounds like you are taking this really serious if you are going to bring your political stance into this. To log onto a game that is supposed to be a hobby, like a shift, and work to get 50m lines when someone can log on for an hour a day and throw 100 at the screen, is when you have a major imbalance. If you don't understand why that is just stupid, then I'm not sure what to tell you. It makes people's efforts, and work worthless compared to someone who can just hit end game content in a day or two. In addition that this game isn't even very well held up by Nexon to begin with. I more feel bad if you spent 8 hours a day for 8 years on this game of them all, just to hit something someone who is willing to pay can hit in no time, then say everyone is just a whiny liberal. But you do you, and you have every right to your opinion obv. Doesn't change the fact that this game is pretty broken as ever outside of reboot.

and that is why everything is so overpriced on every other world because only a few people can kill the hell mode bosses, and their the only ones selling those items, the ones that can't kill it can't afford to buy it either. how does people afford 20b ~ 50b to buy equips? they illegally obtain mesos either they spend on it or they bot/abuse events, there is no real way for new players on the P2W servers to make any sort of mesos to measure up to any of the above average ~ top players unless they spend thousands on nx to buy or make their own equips. yes it is P2W

lets look at little things they do to eliminate meso farming for below average players:

- boss equips such as necro, poisonic zakum, etc sell to npc for 1 meso each, on reboot they sell to npc for 150k ~ 250k each

- bosses do NOT drop cubes unless you have about 8x drop (including spider familiar), instead they encourage people to spend nx on red and black cubes with their horrible RNG by giving weekly deals and discounts, maple rewards, etc

- party quest areas on the P2W servers are always empty, because there is not alot of low level players around compared to the amount of high lvl players around

- if its not fafnir, nobody in the free market is selling any other equips its just not worth anything compared to the godly 150ish armor sets that everyone seems to be wearing nowadays

- shop permits are not free, and their sure as hell isn't an auction house that should have been in the game years ago

- everyone stacks in 1 map to train in, and ignore every other map because SDH (got nerfed) is just "godly exp" to most people, or they can just be lazy and leech while a pair of blaze wizards can just put a pencil on their keyboard and cast day and night and not get banned for botting

itt: people who like reboot complaining about p2w, and people who don't like reboot calling reboot players bad players.

@macesarecool: Um, I reached 50mil per line on my Hero without spending more than $100 directly on MapleStory (electricity bills and internet bills are a different story) in a total of 8 years. I just wish I had spent more money or just stopped playing at all because, well, I ended up spending at least 8 hours a day on MapleStory. Everyday - For 8 years - Just to get to this point. This game isn't pay to win. It's just play forever to reach what you could've gotten in 10 seconds and it seems like you just don't have the determination to do that so it's your fault for that. If you wanted to reach 50mil per line without spending money, go find one of the non legal servers. Sheesh, whiny liberal democrats thinking they can get anywhere without working.

i feel like someone has to complain about "pay to win" just about everyday. There is no such thing as pay to win in maple story. its simply pay for convenience. Every single person has the same opportunity to reach end game, its just a matter of how much effort and time you put into it. If you want to drop 3 grand and jump to end game immediately, that's your choice, and people shouldn't judge you for it. If you want to play 8 hours a day farming everything possible, that is your choice. There are so many people that have reached end game without throwing their wallets at nexon, and guess what they did? just play the game. If you don't feel justified spending money on the game, then good for you! At the end of the day, it doesn't matter that you didn't reach cap damage as fast as your nx clothes loving guildie. If you want to reach end game you have to work for it one way or another, and your two choices are basically spend your time working a job to pay for nx or playing the game and making money from there. Now stop complaining.

EDIT: also i went back and read some people's comments on others spending money on maple story, and i noticed something. Do u guys think that their money comes from nowhere? Sure maybe you don't have the spare money but you can make up for that by learning how to make money in game. Don't attack someone for being fortunate.

@macesarecool: You can access every content without paying you know. Doesn't explain what you are winning though. You just pay to get to the end of the game and that's it. Boring part comes after that. You pay to lose the fun is what it is. Get friends and do bosses. Don't need to do high in damage. With reboot, everyone starts all over and is equal because no one has full links, selling end game equips, etc. Reboot is fun for now of course. Everything is fun when something new comes out. Give it some time and reboot won't be as fun for some people.

I'm just ganna assume plenty of these people have never even logged into reboot at this point lol

@sanergy: You can't access all the content unless you hit insanely high is the problem for the most part. It's not really about complaints. Go look up a solo video with someone hitting 50m because they paid for it all, and even then to have a boss be stupid hard. In reboot only the most hard working actually get to achieve that mile stone. Not someone who threw their check at the game for results.

@kiddaries: Game isn't pay to win. You're not winning anything since no PvP. MS Community just wants to complain about everything.

I don't understand why people call other servers pay to win. I've spent a maximum of $40 on this hobby over a long period of time (3 years) and I've enjoyed every moment of it. I don't see any downsides since you can just merch and buy gear. Reboot is nice and all but sooner or later it's going to be the same as any other server, the same people running the end game content since no one else can.

stay on ur P2W server then, where everyone wears the same look hoping they can marry som random for a week, then in the free markets u got tons of scammers to deal with.. haha reboot is so epic

yeah what @syncrinity said, i feel like the population will die out within a month or two. give it a wait. the other worlds that nexon released always die out gradually. in the end everyone has their most favorable characters in the more populated worlds like scania/bera/windia etc.

Reboot is really nice

I don't think anyone wants more world merges, but it could be what needs to happen AGAIN.
They honestly need to make a "mirror" reboot server to split that population, because it is clear Reboot will continue dominating the game unless changes are made.

Once you maximize your equipment and range in Reboot, what will you do? We're not forced to play in Reboot, and you shouldn't feel like you are because the population there is high. It's a nice new experience but I consider it to be as if it's an event with an end date.

I think reboot is a flavor of the month type thing. I doubt it will remain this populated forever. Though if it is, I'm sure you will have fun over there as well. Reboot is pretty amazing, aside from the lag.
