You can use Star Planet points to get double experience coupons so I would not say the event is useless. I most likely will get a hour double experience coupon a bit faster due to the event.
Also most people wont play Monsteroply most of the time and it a nice change of pace to play that instead of Star One card every day. I also like Typing Defense as it is something I can play myself.
