Having life figured out

When I was 14, I thought I had life figured out. Then it wasn't figured out so I waited until I was 18 and then thought finally I had it figured out. Age 22 hit and I graduated college and thought I had this life thing finally all figured out, had a girlfriend, had a job, people thought I was cool for driving a nice car; life was complicated but simple.

The older I get, the more I realize everyone is constantly trying to figure this life thing out and everyone is going through the same stuff- constantly trying pursue whatever they believed was going to make them happy. I always thought I'd be happy once I got X and Y but the happiness I expected to receive from X and Y was underwhelming and wanted more.
