Is my style hard to copy? :[ why is it different?

I know this sounds weird but I'm kind of jealous how a lot of my art friends find people copying their style in random places. Of course I do understand that my style has to be appealing in the first place for a lot people to want to copy it in the first place.

I mean I have seen some people try! But I can't tell they're copying me until I see their caption underneath their drawing LOLLLLL

I'd also like to ask what makes my style distinct, it's kind of frustrating when people say 'oh, your stuff is unique' rather than 'you draw well' [because being unique doesn't necessarily mean it's quality so I can't take it as a compliment sometimes..]

My gallery if you're wondering what my style is like x_x http://pochi-chan.deviantart.com

but I don't really understand why my style is hard to copy because I don't use any special brushes or anything.

BASICALLY I WANT MY OWN FOLLOWING OF ART CLONES, I'M SO JEALOUS LOL I DO CONSIDER MIMICRY TO BE THE HIGHEST FORM OF FLATTERY D:
IDK SOMEONE EXPLAIN TO ME, because I really don't TRY to colour/draw differently or anything.

It's like how some people have an 'accent' and it doesn't seem like one to them, but to you it's clearly an accent

edit: and for the record, I think every artist has their own style. That's why I have a really hard time answering questions from people about how to define/create their own style, because I believe they already have one to begin with. >_<

EDIT X2: I'm sorry if I sound arrogant, but not being able to change my style has cost me a lot of small commission opportunities and limits my marketabilit ex) game related commissions, pet site commissions, large scale projects...etc. basically anything that requires a small to large number of artists to submit the same styled work/images. I'm not an art major, but who doesn't want to make some small cash on the side?

well here's my opinion. first ill say that i absolutely love your creativity and use of color
i think your style is more like graphic design or textile ish? you use patterns and colors a lot. i saw your concept art and i personally think it's more like designs because it's very 2d. i might be wrong but i think concept art has more depth and perspective to it, more reality. but your concepts are really creative, but could just use more 3d feel if you want your concepts to be the basis of games, motion pictures, etc
also add that fact that many people like to copy manga and cg style stuff. like me

and please don't worry, you're only so young. keep working hard!

I try to look at ur gallery no more than twice a day, because any more and the heart palpitations become too much ._____.
OT: I think you're waaaay too humble srs. Believe me when i say it's not just your unique style. Your art is actually good no lie. With your pics, you seem to know where every brush stroke is supposed to go, I'm not nearly that precise, nor do I have that unique skill. Honestly, I probably could immitate u if I tried. I could do it badly perhaps, but.....

its hard to copy cuz the colors blend together when the lines turn smooth instead of striaght

I'd try in like 2-3 years if my art gets to your level.

Well it looks like you paint your figures rather than drawing with lines, so it's a little harder to copy. This one for example http://pochi-chan.deviantart.com/#/d3jwjzo if I wanted to copy I'd have to make up the lines myself because there are hardly any, it's all color.
Edit: UGH not linking, but the one titled "Steady Stream"

Fff gal, what ya emoing 'bout? Yo style is da boss.

I can't colour. Enough said.

The linelessness of your art is hard to copy. Even if someone saw u colour, it'll be hard for them to copy becuse they dont understand the style of urs.

Unique for you is a good thing
Haha, I can imagine people making money by copying your style.
It's better to be one-of-a-kind. If you keep your style to yourself, you'll become a legend till you die and people will still wonder "HOW DID SHE DO IT?"

Uh, I'd say that you're awesome to have developed a unique style; I feel wholly unoriginal. .__.

But to answer the title's question: For me? Yep. You have a coloring style that's hard for me to follow (which is in no way a bad thing, btw).
Basically, this sums it up for me. You are looking around for people to copy your style so you can feel more popular. Sounds like Deviant Art's the perfect place for you! Don't worry; you'll get your share of mimicry. In the form of art theft that is.
Haha basically, I DO feel less popular than my friends. I do use deviantart pretty frequently actually.
Although I don't really mind art theft tbh, as long as they don't make money off of it. I don't really draw a lot of fanart in general and I'm not all that good in general so I haven't seen many people try to steal my work, really.
Uhh what's your palette?
Lol I'm trying to attempt(fail) at your style xD.
Or would knowing the palette be cheating? :o
But..but I don't have a palette LOLL D: It's not cheating, but I wing it when i colour so i select my colours kind of on the spot. >_< You can try eyedropping my colours? LOL

As an artist, I supposed it is an honor if people "copy" your work, but at the same time, I think being unique is more flattering. Why be part of the school of fish in the tank when you can stand out in the crowd. No offense, but, when you are an artist, and you want people to "copy" your work, I just think you are not considered to be an artist. There are tons of people out there in the world who draws and paints better than you, what makes you special? The answer, your unique style, and if people can't copy it, it makes you UNIQUE and irreplaceable. If we see tons of people drawing like you, your drawings wouldn't be special anymore D:

Lol I'm sure everyone has to start somewhere when they first develop their art style. They just continue to change when they look at other styles or try to attempt something different. And isn't that really the beauty of it all? It shows that someone is changing and growing up their skills as they continue to age. xD

Pffftt~ I believe your art is also unique and even if you don't seem to take it as a compliment I think it's a good one because it shows you're different from the rest. :'D And really, when I found you in a different website and saw your art I knew it was you. xD So being unique isn't a bad thing. >3

I rather just remember you for having a distinct style than run into someone who has the exact same style as you, because then it would seem like some competition. o__o;;

But that's all just what I think~ xD
So humble.
Well, when people keep on asking me to make a tutorial and I post one, I get a lot of 'this doesn't really work...' comments. So getting feedback on this topic would be helpful for me

and being unique is not necessarily good, so I'm not trying to imply I'm superior for having a distinctive style. I have the worst fundamental/technical drawing foundation in the world, just saying. Also, I don't consider my style to be distinct, it's what OTHER PEOPLE TELL ME. I REALLY DON'T SEE IT, that's why I'm asking you guys! DX OTL OTL OTL
I think I can imitate your style if I tried haha. People generally don't copy a paintery style cause it's harder than cell shading with lines.
DOO IT PLEASEEE LOLL show me your result :OOOO

Not really, I don't think. Most of my art acquaintances do painterly CG because it's faster haha. I can see your logic though.
