Sony

Why does anybody still buy xbox?

Xbox has all of 3 exclusives I can name; and the only good one is Gears of War (Halo Sucks and Forza is only for a certain kind of racing game fan); meanwhile Playstation seems to have 2 or 3 good exclusives coming out at any given point that NEVER go to XBOX while good XBOX exclusives seem to eventually come to Playstation pretty often.

Besides that, XBOX just doesn't have anything spectacular.

Not the hardware, not the controllers, not the servers.

So why buy XBOX unless all your friends have it or you must have Halo, Forza, or Gears?

Halo is great. Was never much of a fan but h5 multiplayer is legitimately a good and unique game. If you aren't competitive then custom and social games are fun. it's just not worth an entire console for which is all xbox really has going for it

that being said, why buy a console at all. why not just get a gaming pc and a 3ds for monster hunter

@greatbolshy: Can you actually play cracked copies of console exclusive games online?

I guess it's like a PS, sounds like a small community though.

are they even considered exclusives when you can play the games on pc also? i only have an xbone because all of my irl friends have 1 and won't convert to pc. i don't play it anymore though because it's too boring

@tyrantblade: Regardless, Westerners (especially the older more conservative groups) view anime/japanstyle as either childish or perverted. This is because Americans view cute as childish. Americans also aren't too tolerant of sex/nudity compared to their tolerance of violence (Europe it's vice versa).

That's why American Kirby is always angry.

Unrelated: It's actually kind of sad, Americans usually view all animation as solely for child comedy or adult dark comedy, but it can be so much more than just cheap humor. It limits the genre diversity that anime has.

@beefly: i believe you mean Japanese/Japanese style games, and why wouldn't Sony PS4 have a lot of those games? It's a Japanese company after all, and besides all the best games originated from Japan and that's why they always sell good and keep being made.

@chopin I feel sorry for you if it's impossible to understand that people like things that you don't...

I think it helps that Xbox isn't filled with weeb games.

I still think American society views anime negatively.

I mainly believe people just stuck with what they first got (and they got their first Xbox probably for Halo). I mean I have a PS3, and not an Xbox360, because I have a PS2. Sounds stupid, but everyone does it. We're just used to their predecessor and the next one has similarities to them.

its impossible to understand xbox people... they are like people who buy apple phones.. especially whenever a new one comes out they just have to get it..

@keyan22: if they are too small you must be related to Harambe, I have big hands and PS4 controllers are big enough for me, now I found ps3 controllers a little smaller than I would have preferred, but ps4 controllers are bigger and feel better.

@tyrantblade: No, even a 500$ computer would be superior to them all, and it's not really going "so far off topic", you're asking why I still play Xbox, and i'm telling you why, i'm not switching to Ps4, because it's not worth switching to, I used PC as an example, basically if people switch to Ps4 for graphics, then they're not smart, that's my point, and well, the switch to Ps4 for me would only benefit me in graphical ways, because their exclusives aren't fun to me.

This is why I still play Xbox, because I have no interest in Ps4 whatsoever; I don't care about the graphics being slightly better, I don't care about their exclusives (except for GoW and The Last of Us), their controllers I also don't care for, I find them too small, and Microsoft has better security when it comes to servers, and sorry to break it to you, but you cannot make me like something that I do not.

@keyan22: sucks compared to what? Some expensive gaming computer?

We aren't talking about computers or using software to play some fake copy of a game, quit going so far off topic.

Bottom line is exclusives are a major factor for most home console gamers, most people don't care so much as to spend a lot of money on a dedicated gaming computer and accessories.

#deeemon: sounds like it will run great, but that doesn't matter if it has no good exclusives, which Xbox doesn't seem to have anymore.

@tyrantblade Okay? I dont see why that matters.

They both suck is what I'm saying, that's why people play Xbox regardless if PS4 is ever so slightly better, they're both trash, they don't care.

Just like me, I have all the consoles, it all comes down to preference though, not specs nor how many games there are, hell, Nintendo is 90% exclusives, it doesn't matter.
---------------------------
I don't like their exclusives, so I don't play it, is it that hard to understand?
As for Xbox, I do like their's.

Not everyone likes the same damned thing.

@keyan22: there's a reason why so many more PS4s sell the Xbones, the reason is they have 3x as many exclusives and reviews prove they are better, Xbox would have no fans without Gears, Forza, or Halo.

@tyrantblade: Yes, I simply care for only The Last of Us and God of War
Playstation sucks as well, get used to it, there's no point in arguing about this when they're practically duplicates with exclusives that can all be garbage depending on the person's preference.

...And I count only two exclusives I like on the PS4, so you can say that me buying a PS4 was a waste of cash.

If any of the console players really cared about specs and all the other console exclusives, they wouldn't play on a console, but rather a vastly superior computer that can emulate any game regardless if it's an exclusive or not, so why bother saying one sucks when both suck and people won't care to change to the other anyways?

@keyan22: have you seen a list of the exclusives for this year?

https://www.finder.com.au/2017-exclusives-comparison-ps4-xbox-one-switch

Conclusion, XBOX sucks, get used to it.

Xbox servers > Sony servers, there is no debate when Sony goes down for like 5x the length of time Xbox does during a DDoS attack.

I also don't like any Ps4 exclusive except for one of them so it doesn't interest me that much.

I have both, yet the Ps4 is the one which is dusty as all hell, maybe it's a matter of, idk, preference? It's a bizarre concept, I know.

Also, the hardware difference is so insignificant that you can hardly tell the difference.

@deeemon: a bunch of the people that made Banjo Kazooie left rare and formed their own studio and just released a game like Banjo Kazooie recently, it's called Yooka-Laylee and seems to be decent, hopefully sales are going good and they will make a sequel and improve on it.
