Sony

I finally bought Skyrim

Does that make me really weird given how popular this game is and how long its been out?

I purchased the ps4 version for only $20 on ebay, Walmart still charges $40 brand new.

@beefly: they did remake Morrowind; as for Oblivion; they choose to not remaster it because they wanted to put all that effort into elder scrolls VI; plus Skyrim was just an easier remaster to make and more profitable.

They said the effort to remaster Oblivion would have been mountainous because of the age of the game and differences between that generation of console vs current gen; i mean the differences between ps2 and ps4 for example are huge; even ps3 to ps4 was very significant for some games (less so for others).

What's weird is they keep re-releasing Skyrim and it's been almost 6 years. I'd expect remakes of oblivion or morrowind.. but no instead they just did that with Skyrim.

I bought this game a couple of years ago and still haven't inserted the disc into the console yet. It doesn't matter when you decide to buy and play certain video games, they'll always be around.

It's not weird. Skyrim caters to gaming enthusiasts which isn't a very large crowd. It just happens to be talked about so much that a good number of other gamers are familiar with the name.

DotA and LoL players are the weird gaming bunch. They didn't jump to Overwatch and PUBG unlike CS:GO players. It's not just that DotA and LoL players won't play any other game - they aren't aware of other games out there.

I've never played Skyrim either, so I wouldn't say it's weird to buy it now. There's nothing wrong with not getting involved in popular things, just as there's nothing wrong with getting involved in them.
