Scammers in fm who cancel trades when you make an offer

I am offering you this item 50 MILLION MESOS LOWER than the lowest shop in the FM. So when you instacancel the trade window it only tells me that you're wanting to scam me, and since you can't scam me you cancel the trade window.

The item is worth 219mil as the cheapest in the FM stores. It is not worth 100mil no matter how many scammers try to tell me.

it's so obnoxious.
WHY ASK ME TO MAKE AN OFFER IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE WILLING TO SPEND? WITH HOPES THAT I OFFER IT FOR A LOW PRICE?

they probably just want to merch off of players that dont know prices. i hate running into merchers i would rather sell to someone that actually wants the item and not to resell

You say 50m like is a huge discount... & Merchants "Resellers" arent scammers.. two differents things.
People are free to offer whatever they want to offer & cancel trade anytime. You can ask for whatever price you want & you can cancel trade anytime too.

Anyways selling stuff like that sucks, just use a store (a system that also sucks compare to other games but is what we have).

You can't really blame the Sharks of fm they only look for absurdly low price like 200m for 2h primes and all that jazz they aren't looking to scroll their wep or use the item they only want to sell it for more
It happens that's why shops help to not deal with those type of ppl

The reason is that players do this is they are hoping you do not know the price of the item and they rather not tell you what it is. This method really only works on lazy people or Maplers who are just ignorant of Free Market prices. I always check the price of a item before buying or selling it most of the time. I sometimes make exemptions for items worth less than one million meso.

A bad deal and scamming aren't the same. If they are looking for a price are not trying to trick you into a price that isn't agreed upon, it's hardly a scam.
no the thing is they're looking to scam people. i.e. trick someone into selling an item for 1/2 the real price.
Unethical exchange =/= fraudulent exchange

No scamming goin on here

For me scamming would only mean breaking the agreement in trade, it wouldn't be considered scamming if you got the wrong information or EVEN I provided the wrong information, since it's your responsibility to verify it. I might have got the wrong information by mistake too, or I'm intended to do so, it's difficult to judge, nor you have any evidence for proof. No proof = No conviction that's how things work. Although it doesn't mean I will ever do it or consider it as decent.

and here's another term for you, Sharking

Sharking is when you convinced someone to sell something to you at 1/5th of its original price. And the seller has no knowledge of the item's value

Thats just merching lol, not scamming. Scamming would be somehow getting the item without paying the price, or putting up the wrong price and having both players trade

Scam- a dishonest scheme; a fraud. I don't think that what the guy was doing was dishonest. Albeit it isn't very courteous to do so, there is nothing wrong with it.

That doesn't make me a scammer I just don't want to waste my time with your low ball offer.

A guy tried doing that. I just waited when he gave a low price. Eventually I stalked him and hunted him down. He was tasty.
