What you think about this?

1. Lag - associated the issues to hardware - particularly high CPU and memory usage. Said it is slightly improving and is something they just can't fix in one shot.

2. Gollux - fixed in 5th job patch.

3. DC for hack reason - hard to pinpoint every single skill causing it. So far only was able to reproduce issues with damage reflect skills and NW bat skill.

4. Evan link - submitted to devs for fix along with their "massive list of issues"

5. Luna issues - per account/character basis so submit a ticket regarding account/character access as well as missing items and flames.

6. EU Reboot - not off the table, but not in the immediate future

7. Reboot 2 - would like to fix instability issues before introducing it. It may come sooner depending on the population increase in the 5th job update.

8. How many GMs patrol the game - 24/7 patrolling most commonly reported maps. "We can't be in every map in every channel"

9. Mega burning project season 2 - same as first mega burning event: you can't burn existing characters. New characters only.

10. Events getting extended - would like to focus on issues with bugs and latency before extending any events.

11. Losing items from Frederick - tried to address it "as best as we could." They look at "every single ticket" Submit a ticket with as much info as you can regarding lost items. Will try to restore/compensate.

12. Joypad settings - confirmed added in 5th job patch. Showed the settings on stream.

13. Miracle time - will announce when closer to the event

14. V coin limits - they would like users to experience other events that give V coins. They don't want everyone just grinding for boxes.

15. 5th job when? - tomorrow (apparently this is still a question)

16. DRPQ - tried to fix during November update but realized it still didn't help. They are unable to reproduce it during testing but still looking into it. (You pretty much DC as soon as you go in there.... how are you unable to reproduce?)

17. UTC - to standardize NA and EU times. Easier for them to plan event times. (probably not changing...)

18 Event hall lag - still looking into it.

@twopointonefour: Oh, I am using a Computer with a Q6700 processor. I got rid of the event hall lag few days before the Halloween patch (I had this lag since the Anniversary event), but after the Halloween patch it lagged like crazy and more players started to lag at that point too.

The lag is 100% on their end.
Client-sided lag would give FPS issues.
Event Hall is a good example of what client-side lag looks like.

Server-side lag has monsters walking in place, buffs not working, and slow reaction times from storage/shops.

Maplestory is a weird game. My computer upstairs is a Q6700 at stock with a 7770 and it runs MS stutter free. My 2600k @4.6 runs the game mostly fine but event hall sometimes gets laggy. My 6700k system runs it perfectly fine too.

Regarding the lag component. I'm not sure why they just don't isolate off reboot on it's own physical or virtual server. It's very apparent that when reboot is at 90%+ capacity, everything about maple just dies. If you play at US off hours, the game runs so smooth it's ridiculous (Reboot capacity ~40%).

To me, it's obvious what they need to do. Just, do they not drop money on it because they don't see GMS living for longer than 1 year? That's the question we need to ask ourselves, and when you think about it that way do you really want to continue spending money on nexon?

And one last thing, the reason why their "testing" is never the same as user's testing is pretty apparent that they do testing during SC or during off hours. Off hours my client never crashes logging in. During peak hours, the game crashes before it loads the movie, crashes again when I type in my pw, crashes again after PIC is entered but it's still loading the parttime and char cards, crashes again once the game loads. These crashes can occur as many times as it feels like. Why they think SC/off hours/peak hours are the same exact scenario is the reason why they have a bunch of idiots working there.

@stoker: That's... exactly what they're saying though. They upgrade their hardware almost every maintenance but are aware that there's still more to improve on in that department.

framerate lag is your comp, latency lag (delay in picking stuff up etc) is server side
