reboot pets
Anyone else think the NX pets in reboot give NX users an advantage over Non-NX users? NX users can have a pet to easily loot all the mesos while training, and meanwhile Non-NX users have to pick up through the piles and piles
So much for Nexon touting that NX is going to be cosmetic only, amirite? only 2 days into this and they're already slipping
And I thought the snail pet was permanent

reboot has been out for what, 2 days?
i'm sure they will add more items to the reward shop.
i've been playing just fine with no pet. haven't even used the snail yet.

Second sentence in the first paragraph says you can earn all of your items through hard work. I don't know what that means to you but to me it means I can get all of my items by earning them.

@slimeblue: Where does it say in the patch notes that NX players will have NO advantages? The server was designed to alleviate most advantages (related to dmg, equip), but it does not say it took away ALL advantages. Your impression of the server has nothing to do with how it's actually is run.
@saipanda: except that the rp shop in reboot has nothing but 2 cubes, not even water of life, which is an nx-only item too

they have had pets you can buy for rewards points.
events have given away pets.

Was thinking the same..definitely should be able to be bought with mesos.
Its the fact that this world literally revolves around mesos and manual looting is pretty much broken

The point of Reboot was to give all players equal ground, meaning you can't spend NX to get an advantage over free players. You realize they sell items that don't give direct benefits to gameplay, right? I'm sure the amount of NX sales in Reboot would make enough money to support the server without people buying pets.
would you rather pay a monthly subscription fee to play in reboot? servers cost money to maintain, why shouldn't they charge NX for some of the content?
@uwotm9 Guess what all the servers can get with maple rewards but the Reboot one cannot? Why do you think they did that? Yeah...
OT: I also thought the snail pet was free. Heck, they mentioned it in their updates and I got a little excited, I thought it was gonna be permanent so everyone has an equal footing. The fact that they didn't even try to make it have an expiration date of at least 10 days instead of 5 used hours already speaks volume.
The truth is that looting in MS is terrible, it's a wonky mess. They found out how to actually fix it and implemented it as pet skills. The darn thing can collect heaps of items like a vacuum without missing a single thing, so instead of fixing our manual looting they decided to exploit their user-base making it a paid content.
Right now I'm doing some research to find out if I can buy a permanent pet that won't die, hopefully there is. I cannot stand having an event where we have to collect as much stuff as possible with the way picking-up items work as of now.
I'm fine with staying in Bera, the only reason I go to Reboot is to help my friends.

this reboot world revolves around mesos (cubes, etc), and giving nx-users the ability to gain more mesos is pretty much a p2w feature
the fact that they implemented the now-removed cash shop meso sack showed their lack of commitment to make this a truly non-p2w server
I'm actually surprised you can buy Hyper Teleport Rocks, a item that is truly 'convinience' and one many players would gladly spend NX on (without making non-NX users feel cheated) is obtainable with mesos, but pets are NX only and, correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems that the Reboot Reward Shop only has cubes (you can buy a single Water of Life per month in the Reward Shops in all other servers).
Anyways, how often does normal Hilla drop her pet box in Reboot? I'm fairly sure it's a common drop for Hard Hilla in the main worlds, but very rare for normal (and you can get unlucky and get the earrings instead).

Every few months they release obtainable pets from reward shop.
Why shouldn't we be able to buy pets with mesos? Auto-looting seems like a pretty big advantage.

:/ pets have existed for a very long time in this game. if they make the water of life buyable with rewards points, then you are spending $5 1 time for a pet.
snail pet has never been permanent. wish you could revive it though.

They should have given out pets for free with all skills. If not, at least purchase all this with mesos. Fail!
Use snail pet only when needed, and farm Hilla for another pet, it's not impossible without NX
No, because a pet is only a convenience. They're not unlocking a feature that non-NX users can't access
