Hayato

New to Hayato

Hey friends, I am really interested in Hayatos and I plan on playing in reboot.
I was wondering if you guys can lend me a few tips, etc.
Is it best to combo for bossing? questions like that. Tysm

I haven't played on Reboot but I imagine as general mobs are tougher and your equips may not be as good as they would be in another world, the mobility aspect of Hayato might not be as useful in combat for mobbing (as it's probably far easier to OHKO in other maple worlds than in Reboot).

For mobbing, I'd probably just look to use Sanrenzan as much as possible, as it's a decently low mobility move relative to the rest of the skills and in a map full of mobs you can just hold down Sanrenzan and kind of gather and push mobs back (albeit rather slowly) until they all die, turn around, and repeat. I just can't see the other skills doing quite so efficiently unless you've found a way to fund yourself well and can just blaze through a map on combos alone.

As for bossing, this is my general rotation.
1. Make sure Hayato's already in Quick Draw for bossing mode.
2. Stand as close to the boss as possible. With the high dodge rate, you'll take little damage as well as charge up Willow Dodge
3. Sudden Strike the Boss, which gives you a +20% dmg buff
4. Use either Rai Sanrenzan or Shinsoku. I've read that even with all hypers, the two skills are almost exactly the same so which one you choose is entirely up to you. However, for the sake of mobility and keeping up Willow Dodge counters, as well as striking more frequently so as to heal, I'd just stand close to the boss and Shinsoku until the boss dies. Of course this is situational so whatever fits circumstances the best is whatever you should do.

Good luck!
