Dimensional Invasion Help
Hii so gfs playing a Mercades and I tested out DI for her, I've given her CRA/Boss acc stuff to start out with and we're having difficulty doing DI.. :S It simply kicks her butt and she can't mob well enough to beat it. I used to play a Mercades a while back and could just Spike all day and win but what the heck are you supposed to do against it now..? Stunning Strikes is kinda slow, and the mobs deal too much damage to be in their faces trying to use the combo skills.
Oh and shes only level 151.

@volpi: Left side where the portal is. Don't use Elemental Knights that's what causes an odd few to fly away.
Lol yea maybe maining a Xenon has spoiled me a bit with their widespread and useful abilities.. I had never done the 150+ struggle on other classes aside from Xenon, Phantom and Dual Blade which all have great mobbing with Beam Dance, Blade Fury and Mille.. So suddenly transitioning to a Mercades that doesn't have those kind of abilities was weird. Stunning Strikes is okay.. but the lack of mobs it hits makes it kinda meh in DI, but still the best tool at their disposal. Is there a good position to stand in for the Gargoyle stage btw? Sometimes a straggler or two gets away from me >:Y
@elufu: lol I was pitying Mercedes, not you. And I guess that makes sense. I played since the beginning of reboot so I probably saw you around that time. But still... Did you use the same ign?
stunning strikes is OP as hell for DIPQ especially in the aerial monster stage lol
@boredtodeath555: im actually really proud of my key layout because it's both super functional and the skills are unintentionally grouped together by colour LOL
@boredtodeath555: It's second nature for a Mercedes main... so I don't know.. It's like you're asking me "Is it worth breathing?"
Staggering Strikes is a decent mobbing skill by itself (doesn't require combos has decent damage output). The only downfall is that it doesn't splay its damage out so it's only really useful for DI. In DI, staggering strikes purely outclasses the skill combos.. so I would use it even if it didn't have a stun effect.
Now for the hilla/magnus stage, you can definitely clear it without stunning the mobs (just requires you to enhance your gear a bit)but because we don't deal damage in a radius like a xenon, stunning them is the most easiest/effective way.
But you know, I've been playing Mercedes for the past what 4-5 years? You're probably pitying the wrong person.
and also, I doubt you've seen me around. I've stopped playing reboot after I hit 150 ish for the reboot box thingy. The lack of cosmetics is depressing. It's not worth my time.
@elufu: Oh man... All that trouble Mercedes has... They actually need to stun the mobs in Hilla vs Magnus stage to get through it? Also I think I see you on Reboot.
On Topic: I've been experimenting Mercedes' skill linking and it's hella terrible. I mean... I never liked it in the first place because she ends up all over the place without da skillz to handle her, but Jesus. I'm just wondering if all that linking is worth it after you've trained yourself to use them at their max potential... And don't get me started on what key layout you'd have to use for this sh**....
Maybe fund and get more damage. Mercedes needs funds.
Staggering Strikes or Stunning Strikes is actually pretty useful for DI, since they spawn in a clump. The mobs actually get stunned if you use it (and dont cast other skills). This is also useful for the Hilla/magnus stage, to stop the mobs from meeting each other.
Spikes and unicorn is probably only useful for Stage 2,3 and the last one (and bonus stages), where they spawn at various points and you need to cover a large area or they're a boss.
Alright I managed to get through it with Stunning Strikes, Unicorn and Spikes.. only took 15 minutes with Hilla/Magnus stage lmao
Got exp tho so dunno wut was up with that o-o?
I use a combination of Leap Tornado, Ishtar's Ring and Spikes Royale. As for the exp I have no idea. It works just fine with every other character.
I'd Reccomend using Unicorn into spikes and then leaf tornado for some combos and spamming stunning strikes while its on cd, spikes usually gets rid of as many mobs as it hits so it's helpful from my knowledge. Other than that it was kinda pot spam and hope to get through (although I had perfectly fine range to handle it before and after 150 so idk?)
Whys that? And what skills were you using?
I must say I never had any problems and I'm not funded. The only issue I had was Hilla&Magnus bonus stage - no exp whatsoever.
