Friendstory hidden mission guide and pillow fight chair

I made this for a couple of friends that wanted to redo friendstory for the hidden missions and were paranoid about missing certain things, might as well post it here.

__**WARNING: CONTAINS SPOILERS**__

Side notes:
-The green text will give you an alternate ending to the first play through
-Hold down space bar and press esc on video cutscenes if you really don't want to reread
Oh, and another tip for speeding it up (Nexon previously fixed this, but the new patch brought the trick back): You can use soaring mounts in the school to fly up and down between floors, instead of having to do the stairs animation 4-5 times or whatever - which also closes Maple Chat and other windows and is overall a nuisance.
**Chapter 1:**
"Don't fear the trouble maker: look around"
-At the troublemaker scene, do not start the fight- walk all the way right and go into the portal

**Chapter 2:**
-Kill motes on any mote stage, rare letter drop-- I got mine from hunting in the first stage for around 15mins
-Side note: The hidden mission is called cheese and corn, and there's a quest where you have to find laxatives for Francis. Okay Nexon.

**Chapter 3:**
"Telling kids not to do something only makes them want more..."
-Talk to the hidden couples located at the roof (on top of building), behind the school (take portal on the right of school entrance), behind a tree in the city center near the school
-To get to the couple on the roof, climb up the pole on the side, jump upwards if your class can or use a flying mount
Spoiler: This song plays at the end.

**Chapter 4:**
"What can cheer Oz up?"
-Talk to Oz when she is in the infirmary, then go to the food stall and buy her 1 of each- spicy rice cake skewer, sandwich, fish cake-- i'm unsure if this varies for different characters considering there's 8 different types of food in the stall

**Chapter 5:**
"Hawkeye doesn't want to be the only squid around"
-Talk to Hawkeye in the office at the start, he says to take a picture of the pale student teacher and show Neinheart
-Use this link to answer the OX quiz

**Chapter 6:**
-This chapter does not have a hidden mission.

**Titles:** stats + appearance above head
-The titles can be obtained after completing the hidden missions
-These are not worth getting as they last for 2 weeks only

Pillow fight chair
-According to orangemushroom, "From 8-9PM, Orca will call and you can complete a special mission once per day for special reward items, such as the Pillow Fight Chair."
-This isn't the case for us- we have to call Orchid ourselves everyday between 8-9pm PST for 30 days to get that chair.
-This can be started when Orchid's number is unlocked.
-The count resets if you skip a day of calling her, therefore this must be done everyday.
Each specific day has set dialog with the player. It plays out a bit of story between the player and Orchid. Once finished, a thought-bubble finished quest icon will appear over the player's head (possibly only in FriendStory maps) and will provide you the chair, along with some confusing text. The second to last day, Orchid offers a dialog option, but I doubt it matters which you choose. I choose the first one.
After messing up 2 times (both at 5 days in) I finally have the chair <3, I chose the second option so it doesn't matter which one you pick. Now to get it on all my other 13+ chars...... someday

@whatthefail: I was thinking of capturing it in a gif, but the issue is... my character is kinda big, and I don't want to go naked to show it off. Has anyone else made pictures yet?

I got the chair yesterday. Been too lazy to get a real screenshot of it, but it's interesting. People keep asking how, and then backing out when I described the process. One person in Star Planet seemed determined, though.

Each specific day has set dialog with the player. It plays out a bit of story between the player and Orchid. Once finished, a thought-bubble finished quest icon will appear over the player's head (possibly only in FriendStory maps) and will provide you the chair, along with some confusing text. @shimy: Pfft By the end, I was staying up like 7-8 extra hours after becoming sleepy just to be sure.

I forgot to call Orchid on the 19th day Probably one of the most tragic moments I had in Maplestory since I pretty much wasted over 2 weeks worth of nothing.

This requires me to be up between 5-6 AM to call Orchid. I keep missing days. Might give up.

Thought I'd update: I'm up to 19 days. Tonight will be 20.

I swear Nexon... I woke up early just to call...

Also, sleepy Orchid in bunny pajamas was adorable.

Edit: Why was Orchid in a skimpy maid outfit? In fact, why can I see her in unique outfits over the phone. Is my phone hacking on "facetime" or whatever the kids call it?

Does anyone mind skipping a day of calling Orchid to see whether the count resets or not? I'm hoping it doesn't reset since it told me in the chat "you have talked to Orchid for 2 days straight".
results are needed
Tested. The count resets if you miss a day.

Called one day, skipped the next, called again and the count stayed at one.

You know what would be extremely cruel? If Nexon kept the original mechanic of it. That is, that there's a chance of getting the chair once the event is initiated. Imagine doing 30 days overall of that, and getting like 30 Empathy EXP or something. xD Sorta like how during the planet event, you had to do a jumpquest, and at the end you got a box which MIGHT have the planet chair you need in it. Otherwise, you'd have to do it over again.

@Savaah: ah well, that kind of makes the hidden missions useless since the titles expire haha
I guess those extra slots and needles were worth it though

@MegaScience: Thanks again!

I'm a bit into Chapter 4 and someone (who probably saw my posts here) whispered me telling me to call Orchid now. I was like "But I haven't completed my reset of FriendStory yet!" but tried anyway, and Orchid picked up. The quest appeared with 1 marked up. It seems the only requirement is to have Orchid's phone number unlocked, and call it at the correct times.
@BootyCake: well, you could try calling Orchid without doing all the quests and see if that works. I don't know if it does though
calling orchid during chapter 5s questline at the end when you have to call 1 person will show this line,so I don't think you have to go through all those hidden missions for the chair.
(did this while i was tryna unlock chapter 6, hope it helps!)

@MegaScience: Wow using a flying mount would have saved so much time lol. I'll add that to the guide
I don't think you need to do the alternate ending, you just need to clear the hidden mission

Do you have to do the alternate ending? Because I feel like I missed it in Chapter 2... Do you have a guide on the points where alternate ending branches occur?

You HAVE to do all the hidden quests and get the titles to get the pillow fight chair? Now I have to reset since I missed the hidden story in the first chapter.

@Xerces: You were looking for a guide, weren't you?

@WhatTheFail: Ah, exactly what I'm doing. I just got the first secret in Chapter 1. Going to move on to Chapter 2. What Rare Drop am I looking for? Thinking to do it during 2x, with my droprate stuff up. Like, what does the item look like?

Oh, and another tip for speeding it up (Nexon previously fixed this, but the new patch brought the trick back): You can use soaring mounts in the school to fly up and down between floors, instead of having to do the stairs animation 4-5 times or whatever - which also closes Maple Chat and other windows and is overall a nuisance.

Edit: Oh, the start of the chapter says it. Love letter. Got'cha, lets do this!
Do any of these have prerequisites? AKA can I only get some quests by doing previous ones? I'm only interested in the slumber party chair. I HAVE to reset to be able to get it? Does that mean I have to finish Chapter 6, then reset back to Chapter 1 and go all the way back to Chapter 6's end again?
You can try calling Orchid during 8-9 PST without resetting, if it works let us know. Although i'm pretty sure you need to reset + complete all the hidden missions to do the Orchid quest.

I guess you could skip friendstory dialogue? hold down space bar and press esc on video cutscenes if you really don't want to reread
Anyone have any idea if you get inventory slots again if you reset progress?
I've only reset once to do the hiddenstory stuff and was given slots.. haven't tried resetting and trying again.
...I reset the quests and then did them all today. But it turns out I didn't do the hidden mission for chapter one so I have to reset it. AGAIN. FOR A SECOND TIME. UGH.
Let us know if you get slots again

I hope not. It counts your calls in the quest window so it shouldn't be consecutive.
