You didn't have a falling out with the person right? You just stopped talking to them for a while? If so, then just start talking to them. One of my good friends, she and I stopped talking to each other for 8 weeks. She randomly texted me a simple "Hey" and we started talking again today. Good friendships last a long time

I moved from California to Colorado the summer after 3rd grade, and I remember calling my old Cali best friend when I was in about 5th grade. It was super weird and it seemed like he barely remembered me. Didn't seem excited to talk to me at all. And trust me, we were really good friends in California.
So yeah, that made me realize that it's useless to contact old friends. With the modern exception of having maintained contact on Facebook or whatever.

I haven't seen most of my friends since high school ended, besides my old coworkers including my crush, one of my best friends, and one of my pretty good friends. Doesn't really worry me, I mean I still talk to them on Facebook a little. And I have college friends now.

Simply say something along the lines of how have you been or something.

Why are you scared to reestablish the friendship?

If they were truly your best friends, things would not go awkward between you two from just a few weeks with no contact.
