Sweet water More like Dirtywater

It resets potentials. Who designs these things? If the potentials dont carry over the system is a big fail.

@WireWorks: Well the simple option for you is just to wait it out until you have the money to be able to fully upgrade to these Welcome to the group that can't afford anything however you still have your godly equips

@rebirthed some peoples fun is all about damage sadly but you can't really blame them cause thats the goal of them game
@WireWorks: No one uses it cause you can get better equips with the money you put into those gear. With the 160 equips, people will choose to upgrade to it if they have the budget because it may be the best use of their money. If people want to the higher damage, they have to be willing to pay that extra bit as nothing comes free. Its kinda like how you choose to go with fafnir when maybe you already had an empress set but still choose fafnir because you had the money to blow even if you have to recube. For the people who made godly empress, how would you think the felt when the weren't even able to xfer the tier of their equips or enhancements. At least this time people can save more money than last time when upgrading from empress to fafnir.
I don't doubt its a blessing for people looking for a small upgrade to gear, but the logical jump is Empress to RA/Tyrant. The amount of stats you get per meso/NX spent is far more valuable plus you can sell your Scrolled empress gear to cut down on some of the funds in upgrading. Sweet Water eats the weapon and the potentials and youre back trying to farm cubes which btw rarely drop and good luck collecting the mats to make them.
Everything costs money... do u want to be spoon fed everything? if your not willing to spend big on these new equips, then don't. Just stick with your old items until you have enough mesos to transfer over. Keeping your current equips won't kill you

Do you see anyone in the lvl 130 imperial sets? How about the Sengoku Sets? This is the fate of this set. They killed any potential for it to be useful by causing it to randomize potentials. I have well over 500% dex in gear and I won't be messing with that for a little extra base stats and attack. It's poor design and completely set up to get more cube money.
Hey OP, you want something REAL to complain about?

Sweet water Katara + Sweet water dagger = base 60% boss damage.

WHUT
My shooter + soul ring = 85% boss +60% from the sets +golux etc. No complaints here bby.
You're extremely hard to please.
Nexon may as well have just made a new boss drop this set clean, and you would never have made this complaint.
What would you prefer, scroll+cube up a new set of clean equips? Please. This is already generous of them
Just going for Tyrant/RA is the best option. I agree it's an upgrade for the unfunded just like the Terminus weapons, but for some of us it's just a waste and it could have been solved and used by everyone if the potentials carried over. Like a middle ground between Empress and Tyrant. Now its just another set that for the most part will go unused.

It resets the potential, but keeps the number of lines. Also, any equip over 160 has a better tier... so you might just end up getting even better potentials than you had before.
Seriously... an equipment that takes over the potential tier AND enhancements from your previous Empress/Fafnir equips, and you still complain?
You're just asking for bad comments...
I don't care about the bad comments. I can't wait to see all the people complaining about the 70 cubes it takes to get their boss lines back. They hyped it up saying you can transfer your enhancements to the new set and left out the most important enhancement of all, potentials. You see when you or if you ever get to end game you will understand how important these things are to kill bosses like Magnus. Just some good advice don't upgrade your fafnir into a 160 weapon its a downgrade.
The new 151+ goes from 9-10% 12-13% so if thats the reasoning behind it it is rather useless. If you have all 18-30% stat gear and youre willing to reset that and recube it I don't even begin to know where to start to point out how much you're going to spend on the full set.
I'd for once like to upgrade my gear without having to spend 100000000000 NX to do so thats why I'm complaining. First its Tyrant and you need Superior guards now its Sweet Water and you need to recube ever piece of your gear countless times. It's not less p2w is just more veiled attempts at making it look that way.
People complained about the jump from VL to Emp. Emp to Fafnir. Except this time you don't have to jump ranks, you just have to recube to your preffered pots.
Same thing when tyrants came out, they dropped Emp gear for it.
Makes it much more simple if you ask me.
Less money on Shielding Scrolls for enhances, less scrolls to be failed, and like everyone ITT has stated, you will be using much less cubes because you don't have to jump ranks now.
I really don't see the loss.
The set bonus is amazing, it's definitely worth it.

@WireWorks: Well not really... it's your choice if you wish to upgrade or not, nexon isn't "forcing" you to do anything... It's your choice what you choose to do in the game. For the lower end people who don't like to spend their own money all the time on maple then it's a good thing and can help people increase their damage range without spending their $$. So at the end of the day you have the choice to upgrade or not, so i'm not entirely sure what the point of this thread was other than to moan about nexon doing something to help the playerbase... People are never satisfied..
QuantumLegend makes a pretty good point though, given that we have a new set of level brackets, so the new items do need a reset...
First poster also has a good point. Since the new 160+ tier thing is out and we're turning 71-159 items into new tier items, at the very least the rank of the item is being kept. It really does cost more in the long run to turn an item into Legendary, and at least there are also non-nx ways to obtain cubes now (RED shop is particularly good), which you can use~

If you don't have crap potentials, nexon isn't forcing you to change your gear.

As I see, the only problem here is that if you don't upgrade your gear, you'll complain that everyone else upgraded theirs and now your "godly" items aren't as godly as the maxed perfected awesome pot 160 stuff would be.

You're just complaining for the sake of complaining.

I've always called unique/legendary "rank" and level brackets "tier", but i suppose even nexon doesn't make it very clear...
I like that. Rank and tier it is.
"Sweet Water is designed to eat your potentials."
Except there is such thing as a player who has crap potential items o.o

Also, for like the first time in basil's history, the non-TS replies in a thread have been unanimous in opinion 8/9 people are of the same mindset about this, and the other person just asked a random question
If you have crap potentials by all means go for but for those of us that have 2 boss lines and an Att line plus unique bonus potentials its just going to reset them to crap and require even more cubes to fix. You see the only reason I complain is it carries everything over but the part that cost the most money to redo. If people don't see the money grab oh well.

It gets reset because there is a new potential tier for 151+ equips.

Also we need to differentiate between unique, legendary "tier" and the level "tier."
Why the hell are you moaning? Nexon have given people the chance to upgrade their gear without spending alot of $$... This is helping make the game less p2win...
Do you k now how many cubes it will take to get 25% boss 30% 12% boss att and redo all the bonus potentials? It's another money grab designed as a special favor. Looks like it worked on a few fools here. If you want to upgrade go for RA and Tyrant. Sweet Water is designed to eat your potentials.
Then keep using your old gear.

It keeps the potential tier of your old item, a few cubes to get it back to something useful is much better than 100 cubes to make it legendary again.
Seriously, this. Better than having to cube it back to the tier it was.
