How do you kill Magnus

To those of you Phantoms out there who are able to defeat him (in Normal), what skills do you use to kill him? I keep on dying because I can't dodge his skills fast enough using Rapid Fire. I know I have the range to kill him (820k buffed, 172%Boss, 66%PDR), but I just cannot survive long enough

Some of the comments on this thread are just plain misleading.

Dark sight, arrow blaster turret.
Stay focused. Use penombre when applicable. Learn attack patterns, reposition yourself when you see gas/meteors.
Always watch magnus.

Watch when he webs you, Watch when he's knocking back. watch whatever attacks he prepares.

Magnus is about survival. Not DPS. With 900k range, I can solo hard magnus with 2 binders. It's about control, not about pure DPS.
As long as you have a reasonable range, you can do it.

Use dark sight and pick your spots.

You don't need to worry about killing him quickly (which is why a lot of people struggle with Magnus), your main priority is not dying. Attack him whenever you're able to without risking a life, and focus primarily on dodging his skills and the falling rocks. It's pretty easy to do so until the last phase, at which point it becomes pretty tough, but with a range that high you should have no problem if you can work on your control a bit.

does Rapidfire allow you to move when attacking now? if not, Blaster's dmg output is much greater even without Turret mode. there's also option to Turret Mode Mille.
keep Phantom's teleport handy possibly?

If you can, you should use a blaster turret and blaster itself, but that gets tough because blaster locks you in place. If that's too hard, use the turret and milles. Magnus is all about control, so you probably just need to practice a bit.
