It was one of the best part of the game. Just going in there and killing your friends! Damn hackers really do ruin errthang. Bet cha more people would play.

@Whiter: Not true for my Aran, or other Windian arans. Even with the tanking and all that, Arans were almost impossible with Combo Drain.
i still remember curry 1 hitting everybody with the fist and the full pvp set

You sure cannnnn, power item was so good when they first came out, nerfed it on another revamp, but brandish-powered-advanced was op enough to 1-hit. x3
@PenguinMoral Drain had an activation chance though, so it never really helped much. If anything it was tempest that could have made us op (if you don't take into consideration our total lack of mobility when attacking along with delays).
I loved pvp also. The first version was the best, only needed a small rebalance. The later rebalances made everyone die too easy(hate rebuffing 30 times in 10 mins), and then the one after that let potental factor in and that just favored the funded way too much.
The first PvP was so fun, and then Nexon completely messed up by letting potential stats be relevant inside of PvP.
PvP was amazing, well the first one.
That whole year in general was amazing in maple.

From the Chaos patch onwards, PvP was the only reason for me to play MapleStory, so I deeefinitely feel your pain. I loved PvP. I really liked how you didn't get an advantage at all with NX, so unfunded people like me can be pretty competitive haha.

You could NEVER EVERRR 1-hit someone before the first revamp. I could literally tank for a whole minute as a Chief Bandit and still rack up 300 points before I died, and about 3000 in 10minutes x3

Arans were pretty OP too...Combo Drain actually worked.
I remember I used to hop into the lava pit when somebody's chasing me down.

It had its moments. Wasn't as fun second revamp. I liked 1-hit Brandishes combined with Advanced Combo Orbs and Power Items, as well as BoT + Assaulter kills.

If anything, I'd like pvp to come back to what it was the first it came out. Only way to do more damage then was through level 130 equips, made it much more balanced.

they took it out to revamp it because new classes and NOBODY WENT TO THE NEWER VERSION

I'd rather a company remove horribly balanced and broken content than keep it in and do nothing about it.
Many companies in their right mind have and still do that to this day.
PvP was big content, I can't believe they'd delete it.
There were plenty of people who only Mapled for PvP.

They took out some Masteria content (making BFuries)
They took out monsters that drop Scroll for Shield for Attack (Kunoichi & Ashigaru)

Definitely. I really wish it would return with all of the classic modes. Not these new "balanced" modes like Grand Battle. Not even close to being balanced.
PvP was fun, but the second time they brought it back was kind of stupid... you had to wait in order to get the Gallant Emblems. The first one was way better.
