Was able to get from 30 - 60 on my Blaze Wizard in about 15 minutes. Did not do a single quest (I accepted some though); was able to commit suicide, leave the map to advance and return with no issue through the Event Hall.

What he posted about it being looked into, was posted on the maplestory forums. No actual word on bannings yet.
Wait is the banning thing real? Because I went from 13-156 on my blaze wizard in about 3.5 hours.

I've been getting 1% exp loss, maybe because most of the monsters in there count as bosses (with the ambition and all)

ot: or, if you're done playing just log off. You'll end up in the event hall and you can still go back. No exp loss.

You can do the quests, just don't escape through the 3 methods.

Exp is given according to your level so yes probably go there to train.
