iPod Touch or iPod Classic

Okay, so I just filled up my 8GB Touch, even after I deleted all the Apps off the thing.

Now I'm looking into buying a new iPod, cause I don't wanna go through the hassle of deleting old songs every time I put new songs on. Anyways, I pretty much only use my iPod for music... A bit of internet, but I've got my phone if I need it, and I rarely need mobile internet as is. The Apps are cool, but I don't use them. Ever. The only thing I have against the Classic is the HDD.

So let's say you're in my situation, would you pay $300 for a 32GB Touch, or $250 for a 160GB Classic?

I'm having a hard time deciding, so any input is welcome.

32gb of music can hold

a

ton

of

music

like, if you maxed out the limit of songs, and you played them nonstop one day, you'd die before you hit the last song
I was debating on buying the IPod classic myself, having an iTunes library of 43 GB's and about 24 days worth of continuous play, i did some research since i was more of a music fan and didn't really want apps. There are various other devices you could get if you want for music. If your in it for music get a Cowon device, possibly the J3, i got one for Christmas Jet effect 3.0 is simply amazing, ability to create your own EQ, and plays many audio formats including FLAC. I got my Cowon J3 32 GB and its expandable with a 16 GB Micro SD. i would highly recomend it if you like HIGH quality music.

Though you may not want to buy online, i would get the Ipod classic if you have a large library. over 40 GB's
Although a Cowon X7 offers 160 GB of storage and is a high quality device as well. =P just trying to help
I've heard of the Cowon around Head-Fi quite a bit. I'm not too into sound though. Like, I appreciate good music, and have some nice earphones to do so, but I don't really care to EQ, as my MTPGs already sound just about perfect for me (as far as sound signature goes). I'm pretty set on Apple, I guess it's just a brand thing. And I don't have a large library, but I feel like if I bought the 32GB Touch, I'd be paying $50 for some nice features, but for the most part useless.

Honestly, I don't know which to pick. I'll likely end up going Classic, just because I hate to buy something THE EXACT SAME to replace something I already have... Seems kinda lame.

@xVolcomStone: I agree, but because of those greedy companies that brought upon us SOPA, There's no way I'll ever buy any sort of music ever again.

Meh, they work hard to bring us the beats. I think it's a pretty token amount of money.

My itouch is like my hand. I feel like a part of me is missing when I don't have it.
If you have more than 25gb or so of songs, just get the classic, but until that point, get an itouch

Since you mainly only listen to music and can use internet on your phone.

Go for the classic.
I would get a smartphone that is expandable.
Yeah, I've got a Bold 9900 right now, which is expandable. I'm honestly not keen on having everything on one device. I know it's weird, but I can't count on my phone to play music and make it through the day on a single charge. Also, syncing straight from iTunes is nice. I appreciate the input though.

@AIonso: Pretty much albums. Depends on the artist (if it's a bad artist with a good hit, etc), but a lot of the time I'll just pay the $10-$15 for the album.

Since you don't really use your ipod touch, I'd say the other one. But there's also a 64Gb iPod touch, too.

$300 for a 32GB Touch

Do you REALLY need 160 GB? Does your computer have enough space?
I have an iPod Nano 6th Gen from trading the 1st Gen so I use that for music and my iPod touch for the App Store.

Classic is pretty basic, SO GO GET A 32GB TOUCH.

Well, you deleted the apps. So..really, it's just an iPod, why not get 20x more space?
That's my thinking towards it. I have an iPhone, and a 160 GB that I found. And when I'm wanting music, I use my Classic. Apps, I use my phone.
