Starting Ms in lower resolution
I'm trying to get one of my spare computers to run MS but after entering the PIC, it crashes instantly with no DC dialog. Game Launcher does not work either, after I hit play the hack-shield doesn't even start. The computer used to play maple but I just restored it to factory settings and it doesn't play now. When I log it in it tries to play in the high resolution setting and not the 800x600 setting. Is there a way I can manually change it in the settings before I login?

Try changing the settings to low on your good computer, and then copying the whole maplestory folder to the old computer.

Full screen mode wasn't working either
I tried doing that but I guess the resolution is computer specific.
Get to log in screen and press Alt + Enter...then stay in full screen mode...
no reason to go buy a whole new piece of hardware for 1 game.
on your main computer log in, change resolution to 800 x 600, log out
Log in spare computer now
you might need a new pc screen or graphic card. its either one. im not a computer tech guy tho but i know it has to be one of those
whats wrong with 1024 X 768? That is such a low resolution that even netbooks can handle.
Your display should have at least 1280 X 800 or 1366 X 768 anyway so whats the issue with the resolution?
plug the computer into a larger resolution monitor then change the resolution in maple to 800x600 then plug back
might work?
