Marksman

Ht and Mm Ht qualifications

Hello fellow MM.

Approx. what range/level does it take to solo HT?
Also how much hp is needed and how often does it seduce?

Much appreciated
I would suggest a 50k+ range to be safe. I have 12k HP self-buffed at my level, if that tells you anything.
I have done an HT run with about 9k or 1Ok hp, the range in dmg is about right too. I speak of course about my BM, but essentially theres no difference in hp requirement with either one, but a huge difference in the range

Marksman should be a lot stronger for it, so the range of 5Ok or more should be sufficient. Seduce happens mostly from the arms and the 3 heads, the left head does weapon dmg reflect, while the right head does magic dmg reflect. Best to attack from bottom-up, be sure to keep freezer/frostprey active for the hp boost from Spirit Link! (cant wait for patch that removes this requirement ).

The pattern to kill HT or CHT goes like this for bowman, Legs > Tail > Left Arm > Left side Wings (both sides die at once, betterto start on left side) > Right Head > Middle Head > Left Head (be very careful of Weapon Dmg Reflect!) > Right Arm.

Be sure to have plenty of hp/mp pots, use powers or gingers (gingers are cheap and recover more than enough), onyx apples help if you are doing a speed run, but arent mandatory. Have Heros Will for emergencies and maxed. Be sure to have all cures and Wheel of Destinys with you in case you die of seduce or 1/1 or dmg reflect. Keep in mind that when you get seduced, you can go either left or right and you will get hit by falling rocks and HT will seduced! Keep your hp high so you can take more hits when seduced because you cannot heal while in seduce!

If you want drops in HT, I hear nowadays you need to wait about 3O minutes before killing it while in HTs room. CHT, you need to wait until the timer hits about 115 or so for drops.

Hope this somewhat helps! Best of luck!

Edit, it seduces often... be careful!
Please PLEASE tell me that you are sure that it is fixed, when a monster tries to attack you and they miss, do u sometimes see a yellow thing around ur character? This is what it would happen for a bowmaster, can u submit a screenie showing the illusion step animation after a miss, that way it will confirm and inform other marksman that it is fixed :0,
mmmk, after running around at ToT forever and fraps-ing it and re-watching it to look out for that animation you mentioned, it is indeed still glitched. Yet the funny thing is monsters miss me alot. I guess with illusion step, the level of misses would be majestic :o

@above, i would use hero's will as often as possible. don't try to rely on hero's will to save u, cause if u get 1/1'd while being seduced, u wouldn't have a chance to use it with just 1 mp :>

honestly, 50k range self buffed is all u need to kill HT. the problem isn't as much have super high HP (or having an OP damage range) as much as it is being able to avoid the seduce entirely. I've killed HT enough to suggest that not dying is based pretty much on luck. The order of importance of stats that would increase your chances (or minimise the number of wheels taken) of soloing it would be avoidability > HP > damage (not trying to overlook the importance of HP & damage).

>>> Even if u had 50k hp+, you would still get seduced, and then 1/1'd and die. If you had high avoidability however, then you would have a much larger chance of avoiding a 1/1 attack. This in turn also affects your skill build: after getting through most of their core skills, MMs usually have the dilemma of deciding whether they want to max IS first or MW. in the case of HT, i would bring mw to 10, then max illusion step. dat avoid man, dat avoid.

>>> At lvl 200, with spirit link buff only, i have 14k hp and i survive absolutely fine and will usually be able to kill HT the majority of the time with no wheels. obviously, the more range you have, the less number of seduces you will have to go through. Use hero's will as often as you can and just hope you dont die.

ALSO. by pure inspection and no other form of evidence, i think the avoid% of illusion step for MMs has been fixed :o
so how often does it seduce? And how can i avoid being seduce? (BTW I got hero's will)

Can you please share your experience since I have never HT before
Can't really avoid being seduced. Once the arms go down though, there's really no seduce at all. But the arm is what I usually kill 4th (after feet >> tail >> wings). It takes awhile if soloing but it's manageable. If you have Hero's Will, I suggest not using it unless you're literally about to die because you might get free and still have time to pot. But like everyone else said, bring lots of wheels
50k range self buff? were you able to solo it with just 12k hp?
You could just pot cautiously.
I normally died from seduce or 1/1 + seduce.

Main body Tail hits around 6k per hit, but that doesn't matter if you get 1/1'd. Just bring some wheels just in case.
