Answer as many questions as you are willing.

What country/state do you live in?
What is the upper limit of your budget?
Would you like to save money or do you want to spend as much of your budget as possible?

What other programs do you use?

Do you have a preferred laptop weight?
Do you have a preferred screen size?
Is battery life important?
Why do you need a laptop? To where and how often will it be moved?

@blitx: thats overkill for this game... plus the price isn't worth it at all for the specs provided

@awaywithnames: I'm going to use the laptop for school and for games. I mainly play maplestory so I don't need a laptop with an incredible graphic card. The battery doesn't have to be spectacular but will last for a decent amount of time. Overall, I'm looking for a laptop that play maplestory smoothly, has decent battery, and won't completely break the bank

The Dell XPS 15 is pretty good. Handles most of my needs for school and good enough for mid range gaming as well. The Infinity Edge 4k display is simply beautiful to look at as well. Also I've nothing against macs but in this case they are out of the question since you can't even run Maplestory on a mac without vmware among other things. I feel like we need more information to give you more advice as Maplestory shouldn't be the only reason to buy a new laptop. Things like how graphically demanding your needs are based on what games you play. Are you using it for school as well? Do you need a decent battery charge when you're off the power brick.

Get a desktop if you don't want to lag in event hall. B-)

I agree with what @littletlk said. However, if you need a laptop for work/school and just want one that can handle games, then there are some options out there for you.

However, if your priority is to game, get a desktop instead.

I'd recommend against laptops for gaming because of the heat issue.

For the price of a mac book, you could get a windows laptop with way better specs.
