I never had high expectations for this movie. A motion picture of any caliber could never do justice to all the visuals and impressions that the books conjured up in my head. Peeta in particular I pictured in a very specific way that no Hollywood actor could ever quite match. But that being said, the movie doesn't look as bad as I thought it would be so far. I may actually watch it.
he's already got a teen book/movie franchise and is too old for Peeta. also unattractive but whatev.

ot: Liam looks too old to be playing Gale, which i hadn't thought much about until now. the overall setting is really good, even though i hadn't pictured District 12 quite as modern. literally got chills when Effie showed up though she wasn't quite how i wanted her to be portrayed, same goes for Caesar (terrible wig ). Lenny Kravitz fits Cinna well, but i'll always like the idea of Zachary Quinto as Cinna more.
also noticing that Prim is somehow involved with the Mockingjay pin which leads me to believe the whole Mayor's daughter story got kicked...disappointing as far as the series as a whole goes. otherwise this trailer really makes me look forward to the movie while keeping movie-making scenes like mutts, battles, and the entrance ceremonies under wraps.
I pretty much agree with most of what you said; I thought Effie and Ceasar would have that forever-youthful look to them since the book always goes on about how they never seem to age with all the surgery and whatnot.
I guess I'm ok with Gale since he's supposed to be older anyway, I mean at least he looks more adult-y than Hutcherson and that makes sense.
Cinna's not what I pictured but I think Kravitz will do amazingly.
Madge was kicked outta the film, but you don't see her much in the books aside from giving the pin, so...could be worse I guess

I am so curious about what the actual games are going to look like. It'll probably be really cool

They're gonna have to use quite a bit of special effects for Mockingjay...
Isn't Peeta supposed to be... chubbier?
That book is for 5th graders.

shameless guilt, I enjoyed it.

that black guy is really cute, wasn't he the former district 12(?) winner in the book? the drunk?
Oh god no.
He's Cinna! And in my mind, i imagined Cinna to be a white homosexual lol

The drunk is Haymitch. And he's not black lol
Never read the book, even though i heard it was good. Cuz of the romance, dude. Is that part really cliche love or is it those developing kinda relasionship, or those bitter-sweet romance?
It's more leaning toward bitter-sweet I guess? Definitely not cliche. Basically the girl has to falsely romance the guy in order to win the Games...but then things get tangled up because the whole point of the Games is to be the last one to survive.
The romance is really much more of a plot device, than anything else.

This trailer looks soooo amazing. But I just really hope it doesnt end up like Eragon or Percy Jackson, because those movies sucked soooo much.
The book was amazing. I just finished Mockingjay today. It's so sweet how Peeta and Katniss have children.
WHAT THE HELL MAN. I didn't read Mockingjay yet T___T JASHFLASFHALIHALFH

...imo, I think Katniss should be thinner. She's from a pretty poor district and isn't fed thaaaat well.

He's Cinna! He asked to be District 12's designer and he did Katniss's clothes in the Capitol.

Also, a good book has no age/gender/race association whatsoever.
