I will also note that Hulu has a few times more anime content than Netflix. Netflix has popular ones, but an avid anime fan would have watched already. :x
an anime fan would be better off with a CR subscription, which is cheaper and have more options.
Hulu is probably best for those who enjoy tv shows (not just anime)

Lol did Hulu still not figure out how to expand to other countries?

Unlike Netflix, Hulu pays premium price to stream new released content. Hulu needed the ad revenue to compensate. You shouldn't view Hulu as a Netflix alternative but as a cable alternative. $12/month for adfree Hulu Plus is a relative steal if you watch new content.

@otamegane: I know right

I unsubbed from Netflix after about a week because all the movies are either crap or 3+ years old, or both of those things. All the shows (besides their own) are seasons behind, which is pretty stupid.

@fradddd: And these companies wonder why people would rather pirate than pay for their crap services.

Wait, Hulu Plus isn't ad-free?
Lol, people who pay for that crap and Netflix are idiots.

this doesn't impact me at all as a hulu subscriber... I use their service exclusively for their Criterion selection, which is ad-free already

my sis pays like 8$ a month already and they got f-ing commercials. why the f do they still have ads when we have to subscribe, that's dumb af. and even this stupid 12$ subscription will still have ads, but you just get the option of choosing to watch the whole thing at the beginning/end. if they still have ads at 8$ a month, they should have made it so you can watch all the stupid ads in the very beginning so we can watch our shows without any freaking interruptions. freaking hulu sucks
