Is Fusing Still Profittable
So, as late as I am to be joining the bandwagon, does fusing sneakers still yield decent profit? From what I know, I understand that it's low-profit but can bring in a ton of cash with luck and patience. So?

Nobody would cube the sneaker, so only the % would matter.
Well i put 5m over to my mule account to fuse sneakers, after around 2m was spent, i got my 3rd epic (2 lined) sneaker. only had 4% str on it, but i sold it for 35m. so thats a profit of ~33m
You need item crystals. 3 bronze plates, 2 item crystals per half earring.
Normally I just mine brown veins. Craft the level 70 ( i think nimble ring ), and extract it for crystals. So I use both the adam and bronze plates.
@iLoveSushi: Some Bronze Plates...I forget how many. And intermediate abrasives, perhaps some monster crystals.
You could also accessory craft and fuse Half-Earrings (level 75) for some pretty good profit, if you get lucky. You need 2 mules +some mining mules instead of just one Alchemist mule.
I just fuse for my own purposes
