1. MS is larger.

Four years ago there were like less continents, which means super high population concentration in a small number of maps.

Now we have over a dozen continents/dimensional areas, including Pantheon, Tynerum, Edelstein, and Star Planet.

2. Power creep

Potential, link skills, character cards, bonus potential, spell traces, star force, Gollux accessories, CRA. The average damage range is now around 200-400k, which is enough to solo most content all the way up to 160. If you're stubborn you can even solo straight to 200. At the higher funding levels, you can solo/duo almost every boss in the game, making 3+ parties generally pointless.

3. Leveling is faster.

There's no more LHC for 100 hours from 140-160. Instead the vast majority of players reach 200/210 with ease, and then move on to other goals. Those that choose to train beyond 220 are few and far between. Furthermore, party play bonus exp is no longer a strong enough incentive to form teams for training.

4. The game focus has shifted to bossing.

The game used to be about reaching 200 for most players. That meant you tended to see larger clusters of players in one training/PQ location. Nowadays the game is boss oriented. Most bosses are instanced and soloed AKA no need to form a large expedition/party.

So, what does this all mean? It means you're not going to find any community by just randomly walking around towns anymore, unless you're looking for the afk/henehoe community.

If you're looking for people you need to join an active guild and proactively add people to your BL.
