just letting you know, idk is this is already here. srry if that's the case.
to hit the bowman's boss to get the 12 dex hat you must use a bow (dual bowgun will miss)

It's not a glitch, it's how the quest goes. @ above, yes it's Soloman's Bow
To be particular, I think you have to use the Soloman's Bow
