People only recognize me for my hat on campus, wat do
I feel like the rest of my existence is diminished by their obsession over my identifiable headgear
Then even get buttfrustrated when I don't wear it, pretending I don't exist

This. DO NOT TAKE YOUR EXTRA SYMBOL OF MANHOOD FOR GRANTED. Plus, they could just be making fun of you. You never know. Ask people if they like your hat. You will find out if they are joking or being serious.

It's okay. I was known as the "girl who carried a tiger plushy backpack" back in senior year.
But it was pretty nice since they only acknowledge my tiger. it was pretty cute. c:
