Fade is simple to do, & it's quite nice. What's so confusing ? o-o. watch sony vegas tutorials on fading. Once you have fading down you can do the other transitions.
Well in my 1st AMV I wanted the camera to zoom into light's eye. But just fading? Does it always work like that or...... does people use other transitions that looks nice as well?
ah, i see. Do you use any effects/transitions?
I can't considering:
1. I don't have any good transitions that will make my video good.
2. In 5 seconds when I tried to edit a piece of video, I messed up right away so I'm not sure how to do transitions actually.
What theme is on your 2nd amv? & the song/anime?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-iO2snWxAsI This is the song I'll be using and I'm using for Guilty Crown for Shu X Inori relationship.
Good AMVs aren't just a bunch of random clips that are there just because it goes well with the song. Good AMVs have a theme, a logical sequence for the clips (AMVs based on a single anime usually summarize the series, or an event in it), and a fitting song. Here are two examples of what I think are good AMVs:

The Girl Who Leapt Through Time
Death Note
With those transitions my 2nd AMV wont as good as they are considering I do have a theme for my 2nd AMV. But I'm not exactly sure if my music will go with that theme pretty well considering I'm not sure how my 2nd AMV will look like in the process. Right now I am just taking random scenes that look pretty good and hopefully putting it all together.
..Oh. I use Sony vegas 7/8/&9. I didn't think it was sony vegas since the .. uhm, what's it called, the sizing is all over the place & blah. ...
oops i guess q__q.
Yeah... Sorry for some bad quality videos in there but I can't seem to find better videos to replace them.

example by MAD

the music mood and the video fits perfectly
finding the perfect scene might take a while, but it will definitely make the amv that much better.
Do you use windows movie maker or..?
Sony Vegas 11. Lol. Does the AMV look that bad to be compared to Windows Movie Maker?
If you combine several different animes with completely different character designs in an amv, the end result usually looks or feels random.
I'd say it's better to just stick to a single anime for the entire amv. Look up MAD on youtube for example - he/she makes amazing amvs while sticking with only 1 anime
(per amv)
That's what I am doing with my 2nd AMV. Though I don't know how to do transitions so this might look bad or decent. But thanks for the opinion.

Any advice on how to make it better?
what did i just watch
- uhm work on putting effort.
seemed like you did it reallllly quick
I didn't work that quick. It toke me awhile to put this all together. But we have our opinions.
Where's Gintama?
I would but Gintama but it toke me 10 days to this AMV. Plus I would have to scan every Gintama episode for a particular scene that I would like.
Which will take me hours.
Watched half of it and I must say it is so good that I cried my eyes out. This is a masterpiece and you are a genius for making this.

OT: I don't really get the point behind this amv. As far as I can tell, it's just a bunch of random clips taken from various anime shows and played to some random song. Am I missing something here or was this supposed to impress me somehow?
The anime is suppose to be representing the song in an exciting way. For example if you see Haruhi. I tried to sync the song to make her sing. As long as "here we go"
