IsGamers Cleric/Priest/Bishop Guide

Hello! I am IsGamer(mainly IsGamer, the "Mage" and other things are just added by the differents classes i use), and i wanted to make a Cleric to Bishop guide, i saw some other guides here, but i see some lacks in it that i wanted to clear out too. This guide is all about on how to train as a Cleric/Priest/Bishop easily from my experience as one, as always, the guide itself has SP build and AP build will be explained later atm because tempest updates changed the builds a little. I also add some "pros and cons" for certain things (mostly skills, because not all is healing and Holy Symbol).
This guide is mostly complete in the sections of job explainings and SP builds, BUT, i will still come to edit them, because this guide is having still sections not added and some other things might have been forgot, they will be added later, and i will do my best to update the things i need to update as soon as possible, thanks for your patience and hope this guide does some help for you.

[header]Latest Updates and Changes[/header]

December 25: The Guide has been created, and from 1st to 3rd job has been updated, and SP builds for each job ecept 4th has been updated.
December 26: 4th job and it's build has been added, as for some grammar and sections edited.
December 30: Tips and Recommendations section has been updated and edited.
December 31: Self introduction, grammar and other things have been added and edited. Later on, grinding places have been added.

Future Updates:

-Add links to go to each section faster.
-Add some images such as each skill images and properly images of the class itself.
-Add videos to explain some things better.
-Proper Equipment for each jobs.

[header=Introduction]Introduction[/header]

Where to start is by creating a explorer class, then by there you can do some questline or skip it depending on how do you want to train, to start as a magician you must be at level 8 to start the "Path of the Magician". From here, you can train on places that will be described below so you can level up faster. The magicians are the ranged classes, they are the class with most high MP (excluding Luminous) but the most low HP. They are also helpers (Bishops), nice damage dealers (Ice/Lightning Mage) or ranged strong poisoners (Fire/Poison Mage). In this case all will be from Magician to Bishop, so don't miss the SP Build and the actual AP system.

[header=Pros and Cons of the Mage]Pros and Cons of the Mage[/header]

Pros

-They are ranged, meaning some monsters can't get to his range of attack.
-They have lots of MP, you could reach over 1000MP at reaching 2nd job.
-They are mostly cheap when coming to buying weapons/armor
-Magic Guard: A skill that replaces the damage to the MP bar instead of the HP one.

Cons

-They lack the HP, having some horrible HP at just reaching 2nd job (with luck over 600+HP)
-They are mostly lacking defense againist certain monsters (you could take over 100+ damage even on 2nd job).
-Horrible damage until 2nd job if you don't know what are you doing.
-You could mostly die without Magic Guard on, making up lots of MP potions to be wasted.

[header]Magician Skills[/header]

Magic Guard: Damage dealt to you affects your MP instead of your HP. If your MP reaches 0 your HP will take all the damage.
Magic Armor: Condenses magic into armor for a period of time to increase DEF. (Requires Magic Guard over Lv. 3)
Energy Bolt: Consumes MP to attack one enemy.
Magic Claw: Attack nearby enemies continuously by consuming MP. (Requires Energy Bolt over Lv. 1)
MP Boost: Permanently increases your Max MP.

[header]Magician AP Build[/header]

Magicians use INT(intelligence) as main stat and LUK(Luck) as substat, they don't use STR(Strength) or DEX(Dexterity)
Because of the actual Tempest event, the substats are no longer required for mostly all the equipment (ecept the empress gear), so you can add all into INT until you max it (999) and then put the rest into LUK. So now the equips will only require INT(and certain level reaching) to be equipped.

[header]Magician - 1st Job SP Build[/header]

Explanation:Actually the MP is a MUST for a magician, or else you will be lacking a lot often, so in this SP build we will try to cover the lackings as you level up, as for where to add SP to be sure you don't make an error later.

30: +3 Energy Bolt (10)

End Results:

Magic Guard: Maxed
Magic Armor: Maxed
Energy Bolt: 10
Magic Claw: Maxed
MP Boost: Maxed

Explanation: We start adding 1 SP into Energy Bolt to later max Magic Claw so we can rely on a ranged attack (because Energy Bolt is too slow and hits just 1 enemy, making the grinding too slow). Then we go on MP Boost to boost our max MP and then we max Magic Guard because we now have our MP boosted, so magic guard won't waste too much MP often, we then max Magic Armor so we can have some more defense againist monsters and we put the left SP on Energy Bolt to have it at Lv. 10.

[header]2nd Job Advancement[/header]

When first reaching Lv. 30 you can go to Ellinia and talk to Grendell inside his Library in order to Job Advance, it will explain each path and then will let you choose between 3 jobs, which are the Cleric, the Ice/Lightning Mage and the Fire/Poison Mage, after we make our choose (which would be cleric in this case), we will be teleported to a map at which a monster called Zombie Lupin spawns. In this case they drop a certain thing that Grendell asks you to pick up, in order to complete this quest and leave, you need to pick 30 of these items that they drop (looks like a Dark Orb or something) and then exit from the map, there talk again to Grendell and he will check if you have these 30 orbs, when you do so, he will Job Advance you to 2nd Job (which in this case we are now clerics). Congrats! Now we will begin being to be as a Cleric, from here i will explain pros and cons of the Cleric and SP build to make sure you won't make a mistake later.

[header]Cleric's Pros and Cons[/header]

Pros

-They can use the Heal skill, making one of the main cons of the magician to be covered (low HP will be healed).
-They have MP Eater, which makes some less using of MP potions (tough it depends on where are you actually grinding).
-Invincible is a very nice buff that you MUST use on this and later jobs, it decreases damage that you receive (up to 25% when maxed).
-Bless gives nice boosts at this job and 3rd job (4th job doesn't due to a skill that will be mentioned later).
-They are mostly known as the meso savers class, making tons of mesos to be saved on HP and/or MP potions.

Cons

-They are the most less attackers or damage dealers of the 3 Mage classes
-Holy Arrow is horrible!, has only 1 hit and if you have not so much accuracy makes it useless.
-The heal skill is an attack too, but only attacks undead or devil monsters (Haunted House time!)

[header]Cleric Skills[/header]

MP Eater: Absorbs the enemy MP when attacking with magic skills until the enemy's MP reaches 0. (Requires Spell Mastery Lv. 5)
Teleport: Allows you to teleport a set distance to other locations on the same map using the arrow keys.
Heal: Restores the HP of all nearby party members. Undead monsters in the area take damage from this skill.
Invincible: Temporarily decreases all damage received.
Bless: Increases Weapon ATT, Magic ATT, DEF, Accuracy, and Avoidability of all nearby team members for a set amount of time. Can be stacked with other buff skills. (Requires Invincible Lv. 5)
Holy Arrow: Attacks multiple monsters by firing Holy Arrows. Very effective against the Undead and Devil monsters.
Spell Mastery: Increases Magic Mastery and Magic Attack.
High Wisdom: Permanently increases INT trough mental discipline.

End Results:

MP Eater: Maxed
Teleport: Maxed
Heal: Maxed
Invincible: Maxed
Bless: Maxed
Holy Arrow: 4
Spell Mastery: Maxed
High Wisdom: Maxed

Explaining: We start off by putting 2 sp in Heal so we can start healing us when being to be damaged by mobs and 1 sp in Teleport for some mobility, we then max teleport and put the other 2 sp in heal and then we max heal, so we can heal faster and better, put 2 sp in high wisdom and 1 in spell mastery in the next level to have some INT boost and some damage boost, we then max high wisdom to finish maxing the INT boost and we go to spell mastery to max it for some extra damage, at this rate we have the most important skills maxed, now we go all into Invincible so we get less damage and then bless for a nice boost while we grind. From here, we have all skills maxed ecept MP Eater and Holy Arrow, we put 2 sp in MP Eater and 1 in Holy Arrow (you can still put all the SP in MP Eater and then we dump the last SP on Holy Arrow), we max MP Eater and the left 3 sp at Lv. 60 we add it in Holy Arrow.
PD: You might say: "How can i attack when Holy Arrow is the least skill we put SP in?", well, there is the Magic Claw OR the Heal skill (because you might train on the Haunted House due to the monsters in the chimney being to be weak to heal), and why magic claw?, because we don't have any other ranged grinding skill unless we want to train slowly.

[header]3rd Job Advancement[/header]

Now that we finished training as a Cleric, we now go to El Nath, there we will have to go and talk to Robeira, she will ask us to go to a certain place called the Holy Ground at the Snowfield, this map is located at Sharp Cliff I, to get to the desired location you must go to the Ice Valley III and talk to a man all the way up, he will allow you to enter (tough it allows everyone to enter ._.) and from there enter trough a portal near the place you just entered, walk a little to the right until you step in a white crystal and press Up like a normal portal, you will be teleported to the Holy Ground, go all the way to the bottom unless you see a big black stone (Holy Stone), click it and say yes, there you will be teleported again, now from the map you were teleported (looks like a green crystal cave) go all the way to the right, until you step on a place called Dimensional World, there boost yourself and defeat Grendell's clone, he will drop an item that you must pick in order to Job Advance. Now go back to El Nath and speak again with Robeira, she will talk a little to you and you will finally Job Advance to Priest. Congratulations! Now you are a Priest!, the skills, pros and cons of the Priest will be explained below.

[header]Priest Pros and Cons[/header]

Pros

-Now we have a skill called Holy Symbol!, which boosts our exp when we kill monsters, making the training much easier (like by 1.5 when maxed actually)
-Priests have now more offensive skills to rely with, such as Shining Ray, which stuns at any Lvl and is great for grinding without the lacking of monsters inmune to holy or healing.
-Holy Focus and Arcane Overdrive will boost your damage and critical hit rate GREATLY (mostly the critical, when both maxed there is up to 70% of critical!).
-Dispell can dispell most all status ailments (not ALL of them but most of them) and you can also dispell even when locked (status ailment that doesn't let's you use skills). This can also dispell enemies buffs and bosses, making it pretty great too.
-Holy Magic Shield is great!, you have all protection for all attacks and most troublesome bosses (such as 1/1 of Manon, Griffey, Zakum, etc).

Cons

-You will be starting to be "used" by people to just Holy Symbol them (even on 4th job), making this skill or the job itself to be boring on most parties (due to HS HS HS all the time they want).
-Dispell doesn't dispells all the status ailments, making it sometimes unusable when it comes to certain status ailments. And there are certain boosts that can't be dispelled (such as reflection, Inmune to Magic/Melee attacks, etc).
-Holy Magic Shield has a long cooldown even when is maxed (90 secs cooldown)

[header]Priest Skills[/header]

Dispell: Nullifies all enemy magic effects within the targeted area while removing all abnormal conditions suffered by nearby party members.
Mystic Door: Creates a portal that leads to the nearest town. All members of the party can use it multiple times until the portal disappears. Press the Up arrow key to move. (Requires Dispell Lv. 3)
Holy Symbol: Temporarily allows all nearby party members to gain additional EXP while hunting. (Requires Dispell Lv. 3)
Shining Ray: Attacks multiple enemies at once with a ray of holy light. Deals massive damage to the Undead and Devil-type monsters.
Doom: Turns multiple enemies into snails. Changes the look, attack capacity, and movement speed of those enemies. Cannot be used against boss monsters.
Magic Booster: Consumes MP to increase Magic Attack Speed by two steps for set duration.
Teleport Mastery: When activated, enemies at the teleport location will take damage and become Stunned. Also, permanently increases teleport distance.
This skill can be toggled on and off with the skill key. (Requires Teleport Lv. 5)
Holy Focus: Permanently increases all magic attacks, Heal magic Critical Rate, Accuracy, and Magic Mastery. (Requires Spell Mastery Lv. 10)
Holy Magic Shield: Upon using skill, ally's HP is restored by 100%, and for a duration the holy shield will absorb all damage multiple times depending on skill level. The shield can be maintained up to 20 seconds, and when it's activated once, it will not be reactivated for a set duration even when a different character uses Holy Magic Shell. Cooldown 90 seconds.
Arcane Overdrive: Permanently increases Critical Rate and Minimum Critical Damage.

Dispell: Maxed
Mystic Door: Maxed
Holy Symbol: Maxed
Shining Ray: Maxed
Doom: 4
Magic Booster: Maxed
Teleport Mastery: Maxed
Holy Focus: Maxed
Holy Magic Shield: Maxed
Arcane Overdrive: Maxed

Explaining: We start off by putting an SP into Shining Ray so we can rely on a better offense/attack and 3 in Dispell so we later can MAX Holy Symbol, there you train much faster and now we begin to put an SP in Arcane Overdrive, Holy Focus for more criticals and damage while another one in Spell Booster for attacking and buffing faster, now we max spell booster and then we go after Holy Focus due to more critical and passives first before arcane overdrive, then we max arcane overdrive to have entirely a high critical rate when we attack, Shining Ray is maxed after these to absolutely see improvement on damage, speed and critical. After that, we have our main skills maxed by here, now we start with Teleport Mastery to attack while teleporting (or to just have more teleport range for more mobility) and then Holy Magic Shield for more endurance when training, we have left from here Dispell, Mystic Door and Doom, we max Dispell first for dispelling enemies buffs or ailments that are affecting you actually, and we put the last sp in Mystic Door to max it and Doom will be left at Lv. 4.
Note: You can actually max Doom instead of Mystic Door, but you might be using sometimes mystic door often and doom is not that of usefull, so is your choose to max one or another.

[header]4th Job Advancement[/header]

Now that we already got all skills as we wanted, we get off to Leafre, getting to Leafre is easy, but it takes some time to get in there (you have to go to Orbis, then the Orbis Station and choose the option of going to Leafre, it depends on what you choose as a flying vehicle, the boat, a wooden plane or a red plane, is recommended to buy a one-day red plane, so you can get there faster). When we arrive on Leafre head to the house of the 4th job advancers, is called "Forest of the Priest", i think Cassandra can teleport you there, and there talk to the Job Advancer Gritto, it will ask you 2 certain items, called Heroic Pentagon and Heroic Star, both dropped from Manon and Griffey, defeating them is a HARD task, but you must have patience and bring out there some power elixirs or some ginger ales to avoid a little their 1/1, which reduces your HP and MP to 1!, certainly pissing, you need to drink a potion when they do it the next second before any other monster kills you or the boss itself, you might get pissed for not defeating them after some tries, but you must have patience and timing, you will defeat them in one or another way, also, Holy Magic Shield is a MUST to have when first entering in their maps, spam it when the cooldown is gone to parry some 1/1 and some attacks right away, and rely on magic guard too, the monsters and the boss itself hit hard to just heal yourself, don't heal, it's not worth it, use potions like mentioned early, and don't use a boogie, he might recover the MP too slowly when you need MP, so, i wish you luck on defeating them!. After you defeat them, head to Gritto again and he will aprove your efforts. Absolutely Congratulations!, now you are a Bishop!, i will explain their skills and sp build right away below.

[header]Bishop's Pros and Cons[/header]

Pros:

-Bishops absolutely are a nice class, they have really good boosts and they can grind and boss easily now.
-Genesis is pretty good for grinding, tough it has cooldown.
-Angel Ray, a MUST skill for all bishops, with this skill you will certainly do a really nice damage.
-Advanced Bless gives up a nice boost that needs to be maxed right away.
-Infinity and Arcane Aim are nice skills too, you will need to max them all to do nice damage.
-Bishops have their own summon skill, Bahamut, which can deal some damage when you lack of Angel Ray
-Resurrection revives party members, making it up to a 2nd chance for your friends/party to be in the map.

Cons:

-Big Bang can be strong, but it needs to be charged (which means a long delay before actually doing damage with it) even if it has bonus critical, is not worth it to grind.
-Angel Ray needs to be learned (skill book) until you can actually use it, meaning you will have strong issues when bossing and grinding. Also, Angel Ray has no vertical range, making certain floating bosses or certain grindings to be horrible.
-Genesis has a long cooldown if it is not at Lv. 30.
-Bishops must have at least most skills over Lv. 20 to be strong enough to grind alone or solo a boss.
-Resurrection has a LONG cooldown, which means you have to use it wisely, don't revive just one party member if nobody else is in the party.

[header]Bishop Skills[/header]

Maple Warrior: Increases the stats of all party members. Mastery Book is required to master the skill to level 30.
Big Bang: Gathers power to form an energy vortex, culminating in a powerful Holy explosion that damages multiple enemies at once. Bonus critical rate can be applied.
Infinity: Lets you use skills without spending MP and has a chance to trigger Power Stance on hit. Continually recovers HP and MP, and increases the damage of all attack magic. Enemy attacks will not remove this effect. (Cooldown: 3 Mins)
*Angel Ray: Attacks with a holy arrow, dealing tremendous holy damage. Very effective against Undead or Devil type monsters.
Bahamut: Summons Bahamut for a set duration. The Bahumut can attack mulitple monsters at once and upon learning the Bahamut skill, your resistance to all abnormal states will permanently increase.
Resurrection: Resurrects a party member using a ray of holy light.
Genesis: A holy ray of light shines down from the sky, burning multiple monsters at one time. Deals tremendous holy damage to all targets. This skill has increased crit chance.
Hero's Will: By focusing your mind, you can ignore some abnormal status effects. However, this will not work on all abnormal status effects.
Buff Mastery: Permanently increases Magic ATT. Duration of all the buffs applicable to self will increase upon using skill.
An On/Off skill that is activated when the skill is used and deactivated when the skill is used again.
Arcane Aim: Ignores a portion of enemy Defense when attacking. Damage dealt increases with consecutive attacks. Stacks up to 5 times.
Advanced Bless: Greatly increases nearby party member ATT, Magic ATT, DEF, Accuracy, Avoidability, Max HP, and Max MP. Upon using skill, MP consumption will be reduced. Can be stacked with other buff skills, excluding Bless. (Requires Bless Lv. 15).
*Angel Ray is not by default, you have to obtain it from a skill book in order to learn it and use it, and you will also require mastery books to max it.

[header]Bishop - 4th Job SP Build[/header]

Note: This SP build is based on if you WHERE having ALL at Lv. 30 (don't worry, is based on it, not that you won't master all at the first levels), and you might still have unused sp after maxing absolutely all of 4th job, another thing to be noticing is that Angel Ray (as explained above), needs to be learned, so this SP build has still the skill even if you didn't got it at the first few tries of certain bosses that drop it. Also, this build will be shorter and different from the others due to just writing all the 100 levels you have is tiring and too long for people to watch it all, so it will be shorter in meanings on levels.

100: +3 Advanced Bless (3); +1 Buff Mastery (1)
101: +3 Genesis (3)
102: +3 Buff Mastery (4)
103: +3 Buff Mastery (7)
104: +3 Buff Mastery (Maxed)
105: +2 Resurrection (2); +1 Infinity (1)
106: +3 Resurrection (Maxed)
107-116: +3 Advanced Bless (Maxed)
117-126: +3 Genesis (Maxed)
127: +2 Infinity (3); +1 Bahamut (1)
128-138: +3 Arcane Aim (Maxed)
139-148: +3 Infinity (Maxed)
149-159: +3 Angel Ray (Maxed)
160: +2 Bahamut (3); +1 Maple Warrior (1)
161-170: +3 Bahamut (Maxed)
171: +2 Maple Warrior (3); +1 Hero's Will (1)
172-181: Maple Warrior (Maxed)
182: +3 Hero's Will (4)
183: +1 Hero's Will (Maxed); +2 Big Bang (2)
184-194: +3 Big Bang (Maxed); 1 Unused SP
195-200: 16 Unused SP

Explaining: We start off by having Advanced Bless with 3 SP and Buff Mastery with 1 SP, because actually Advanced Bless has the same duration from Lv. 1 to Lv. 30 and we will need to make it last more with Buff Mastery (all the other buffs you have too, including Holy Symbol), then we go after Resurrection, because we might need to resurrect people and is easy to max at earlier levels, now we go and finish maxing advanced bless so we can have a certainly nice party buff, after that we finish maxing Genesis because it's cooldown is too long before it would be completely maxed, and it's a great grinding skill when maxed (if we exclude the cooldown). After that we have some main skills maxed, which are a must for a bishop to do his work efficiently, we go after Infinity and Arcane Aim to do more damage. We then go after Angel Ray to see our improvement on a nice damage with the buffs of Arcane Aim, Infinity and Advanced Bless. Now, we go maxing our summon skill Bahamut, so we can have a helper when it comes to damage. Now we go after Maple Warrior, to max out all we done yet to here, and then Hero's Will to endure much more the abnormal status.
We now are at a pretty high level, because now we are with Big Bang left, dump all the remain SP on it, and we will still have unused SP even if we max all.
Notes: Without Angel Ray, you can skip the Angel Ray and go after the other skills (tough you SHOULD have angel ray to train much better), and if you don't really want to absolutely max Big Bang then don't worry in hunting a mastery book for it, but if you want ALL maxed then you will have to max big bang. There is also an alternative build for Bishops, which is maxing all the attacks (Genesis, Angel Ray and maybe Big Bang) and Maple Warrior, Arcane Aim and Infinity next to have a high damage at early levels, tough barely nobody really uses that build due to the lack of having Maple Warrior maxed. Another thing, the unused SP can be used to max previous skills (such as Doom/Mystic Door or/and Holy Arrow and Energy Bolt).

[header]Tips and Recommendations[/header]

This section is about some tips and other things to improve or just only saying some advises about the class itself, feel free to skip this if you don't need to read the following section. The tips will be separated by each job and recommendations are in general.

Tips:

1st Job:

-You can skip the build because as we will be clerics, we won't need magic guard or some other attacks (unless we want some range and attack, at which we max Magic Claw until we reach 3rd job). Tough, don't max Energy Bolt, is not worth it.
-You can actually do the entire (or half) of the questline of the magician until you reach lvl 20 or 25, there you can train at the haunted house (skeletons) until lvl 30.
-You can actually save money (if you were poor or is your 1st time in here) for equipment because doing some quests gives you some free equipment, or save some money on level 30/40 weapon/armor if you were having it with some mesos. Because we actually level so fast that buying equipment every 5 levels is a waste of money.

2nd Job:

-Actually Holy Arrow is used for Mushking Castle, because the questline itself requires you to mostly attack mobs, and you can always put only an sp in early levels and then max it last.
-MP Eater is not THAT of awesome, it lacks a little because all monsters don't have high MP, and actually, Jr. Boogie familiar helps a LOT when it comes to MP, making MP potions barely being to not be used (which means much easier meso obtaining).
-You can always skip the SP build, but don't max Holy Arrow, is only an advise.
-Training at Haunted House is a NICE option, because the heal skill gives nice damage until 3rd job to monsters there.
-Like the tip on 1st job, save some money on level 40 or 60/70 armor/weapons to save some money, just as explained above.

3rd Job:

-Actually, you can skip again the SP build, but don't max Doom, is the most least used skill, and the Mystic Door is much more useful (if you were having magic rocks, which are obtained from certain monsters, at FM, or ask a guildie/friend to give some to you). Because we would want to come back to town and again go to the last place we were in without having to walk or waste some money ALL the way back there, making the door much more useful (again, magic rocks).
-Shining Ray is absolutely needed, we would might use it on 4th job if we are lacking Angel Ray, also for beating Manon and Griffey faster.

4th Job:

-When it comes to beating monsters on top/middle/bottom platforms easily, Genesis makes it really nicely, but when it comes to directly ranged and without cooldown attacks, Angel Ray makes it up for a nice mobbing.
-Advanced Bless, again, has the same duration on all the levels, so you can have it at Lv. 1 without lacking time, but lacking some boosting, so think a little when maxing it 1st.
-Buff Mastery can be maxed later, because it has the only benefit of boosting the buff duration by a 50%, and without you able to grind properly, it makes it barely useless unless you can grind fast.
-Once more, you can skip the 4th job build, because we will still lack mastery books early, but max Adv. Bless, Genesis, Bahamut and Angel Ray (if you can) if you are planing on going as attack bishop, OR max Adv. Bless, Arcane Aim, Infinity and Angel Ray to do really high damage.

Notes: If i am missing some tips, please comment and tell what is missing and at which job, any useful tips will be apreciated.

Recommendations:

-Grinding at Haunted House from 30/35 to 60/70 is a nice option, after that, you can grind at singapore selkies or MP3 at 70-90, because they're weak to holy and healing too.
-Magic Claw is optional in certain places, because Holy Arrow has not that high range, and we will be using much more often Heal than Holy Arrow in the Haunted House.
-Manon and Griffey will make you waste MP pots like crazy, Jr. Boogie familiar doesn't help that much here, and don't heal, is not worth it, instead, go with some decent HP pots and a barely high recovery MP pots, OR power elixirs if you can, it makes it up for some 1/1 that they spam pretty often.
-The actual level cap to reach new jobs is reduced, so it makes the training much easier, so don't get bored, try to keep it up! Bishops are worth it if you can handle some issues of them.
-LHC is a must when it comes to 110 to 140 or 150, but you have to be patient, because at like lvl 125 you will have all maxed at 10 level cap, AND without angel ray you will be barely leeching-like and only HSing. So, have patience, the things will come at their time.

[header]Grinding places[/header]

This section is about where to train to level up faster and quickly, i will classify grinding places like this: S, A+, A and B+. And i will say if it is crowded(C) or empty (E), if it has a (E*) or (C*) means that in a 2x it might be pretty crowded. Now for explaining ranges: S goes for a NICE grinding place, is a must when you instantly reach the recommended level, the spawn of mobs is good, the EXP is awesome enough to level you fast, A+ means the grinding place is pretty nice, but it still lacks a little of EXP and maybe spawn of mobs, A goes for a fair training place, lacks some exp, and the spawn is a little slow, but still can be recommended, B+ means is a decent training place, and it really lacks exp, the spawn or map might be too small, but still is something. OK, by finishing the explaining i will now tell some places.

From 8/10 to 30:

This one is merely preference at the momment, because there isn't that of a high ammount of exp and you will still grind at these places.

Rotting Skeletons: A+ (E*), this is at Haunted House, you can grind here easily from like 15 to 30 in matters of an hour, depending on how will you attack and how damage they do, if they do 80 or less, train there, and try to not waste a little of HP pots while having a Jr. Boogie familiar supporting you, use magic guard with the familiar, it helps a lot while you reach the next level.

Eldestein: B+ (E), this is the town of the Resistance, try to not KS begginers, but try to reach at least level 15 or 20 if haunted house is still doing too much of damage to you.

An alternative is by doing all the questline, gives some free equipment and is recommended until level 25, it might be a little boring IF you don't know where to go or what to do.

From 30 to 60:

At this rate is still easy to level, BUT, at this time you will start to CC much more than at 1st job, the grind places below are plenty, but try to find a channel for yourself OR ask some people to share, it can be worth it.

Mushking Castle: A (E), this place is recommended once reaching 2nd job, from here do all the questline, is pretty worth it, gives nice exp, some nice rewards and a medal, is easy to do, and is fast, grinding here is optional tough, from 30 to 35 or 40.

Kerning Square: B+ (E), this place is recommended too, but it can get boring at a certain degree, grinding here is pretty optional, you can do all the questline until like level 40 if you didn't grinded at the castle, or just grind at the CD's on the top of the mall until 40 or 45.

Dead Scarecrows: S (C*), this is a MUST, when finishing Mushking Castle, you can directly head here and use the heal skill to kill the mobs, is a nice place specially for clerics, grind here from 30/40 to 50, this is a MUST place for clerics, don't go at any other place if you don't feel to do it.

Chrise: B (E), this is not so good, but is still a fair grinding place, the questline is BORING, repetitive and annoying, but the medal it rewards is pretty nice, try to grind here from 40 to 45, if not, then stay at haunted house.

Twisted Jesters: S (C*), this is a MUST after training at scarecrows, from here you might or you will stay after 3rd job, grind here from 50 to 60, 70 or 80, tough, Haunted Hause is known as a pretty crowded grinding place, specially at 2x's, new incoming classes or certain events.

An alternative is doing the following questline, Mushking Castle from 30 to 35/40, Kerning Square from 35/40 to 42-43/45, and maybe Sleepywood from 43/45 to 45/50.

From 60 to 100:

This is 3rd job now, Holy Symbol will absolutely help in the grinding, so try to have a map for yourself OR offer to HS people in crowded maps, you can either leech or grind as always.

Twisted Jesters: S (C*), explained above, but this time Holy Symbol will really help in here, grinding will be much easier due to stun and aditional holy damage weakness, just like healing, grind here when 1st reaching 3rd job.

Selkies and Slimies: A+ (E*), this is a NICE place to grind, because the monsters here are weak to holy and healing, you can go in here from level 65 to 90, if you still miss too often, grind here from 75 to 90, these monsters are at Singapore, so ask someone to guide you there or read the following explaining in the tips section.

"MP3's": A (E*), this is optional, is still at singapore and monsters will still be weak to holy and healing, because this place might be boring OR crowded, just keep at selkies then, grind here from 80 to 90.

Alien Cog and Alien Miner: S (C*), this is a must when first reaching level 90, because the exp is NICE and Holy Symbol makes it pretty nice, you won't find any other places to grind just as faster as this place. Also, this place is recommended even after 4th job, grind here from 90 to 110, this place is crowded like explained above, but try to find a spot or again offer to HS and maybe leech or attack as always.

Monster Park: B+, this place is optional, but you need a party in order to grind properly, and you will need a certain ticket to enter, you can trade 10 pieces of the ticket or buy it at a high cost, so don't really go in here until you reach 4th job, this place has a nice exp when hitting 4th job.

I don't certainly know an alternative such as questlines, but i think Ellin Forest is a fair exp place and questline, any other thing is not known, but you can tell me any quest/questline to improve this section.

4th Job:

Here it is, we are now 4th job XD, now you will feel you will start to level slowly specially after 120/130 or 140+, LHC might be too repetitive and aliens get slow after level 110, Temple of Time is barely recommended after 140 due to future questline to fight the Empress Cygnus.

Aliens: A+ (C*), explained above, i don't certainly know how will you grind here because i reached 4th job before tempest came, so comment below on how it could be until 110.

Lion King/Heart Castle (LHC): S, this has no classify of if it is crowded or not, because is a party zone, so hunt for a full party to HS them and maybe attack once you have Angel Ray, this place is a wide map to level up from 110 to maybe 140+, because you will get boring after a certain degree and Temple of Time might be a fairly nice alternative after 140, but still, this place is recommended because is nice enough even with 2x!.

Temple of Time (ToT): A (E), it really depends on if it is crowded or not, because this place might not be so used on 2x's, grind here from 140 because you can't go any far without completing a quest that requires you to be above 140, and, this place is the last place you will go because there are other places that are reached from here. Grind here from 140 to like 160 or 165, it depends too.

Henesys Ruins: B+ (E), i don't know too much about this place, ecept that here is the prequests for entering the Knights Stronghold, but this place gives certainly a little bit of low EXP than LHC after hitting 160/165, STILL, it can be fairly nice for these that got bored of LHC actually.

Knights Stronghold: S, because it seems is a party place, it doesn't really needs crowded or empty range, this has A NICE exp after grinding enough at LHC, but as explained above, you need to do prequests to enter here, here resides the empress cygnus, but you need certain things to reach her (and trust me, is NOT easy to beat her, so don't get interested yet until like 190+), since you (might) be a bishop with great defensive and offensive skills, you will find a party easily.

Alternative here is not worth it, i don't know any alternative at the momment, so please have patience until i can know anything or any update.

There isn't a cooldown reduce for genesis.
@LittleKeenBean u will eventually max everything but big bang and genesis should have one point at first and left alone until later levels (unless u can't afford books and suffer a sp buildup).

Edit: this threads gonna get locked

the hyper skill that buffs AR is a toggle skill. Heaven's door has a CD, but there is absolutely no way that it couldn't. You can do 80mil to 15 enemies with one move, that is ridiculous.

Reply January 7, 2013 - edited

Oh ok thanks, and, i THINK hyper skills have a cooldown cuting for genesis (again, I THINK) and HP/MP boost for adv bless.

Don't max genesis or Big Bang. I would say a point in genesis and not even one for big bang. Genesis isn't useful at LHC and if you have funding, you can do substantially more damage/s because genesis is slow and has a max of 2mil. Big Bang isn't necessary now unless you have crazy funds (Like crazy nyuk), and after hyper skills come out, it will be completely useless because AR will do 5 hits.

IsGaner you can't use fancy code at all unless you have guide making privileges, which Mr. Basil doesn't like to give out too much :<

Since u are too low lvled to enter the gate to the future, I'll fill u in on the two subregions in there: henesys ruins and dark ereve aka knights stronghold (it's a party place which gives u an idea of it's ratings. Check the third post for more details later.

Ugh, guys, does anyone knows how to make the links to headers work?, i tried and previewed it and only the intro worked, other 2 links just posted like if i just writed the code without working, and i checked and is the same as the intro one, so, it means i can only link to a section once or is sort of my fault?

Wrong. This is how it works:
Everything below is based on maxed shell.

The instant a bishop in ur party casts a shell on u, u cannot receive another shell from another bishop in the same party for 30 sec. If another shell is cast while u still have the first shell on u, it has no effect. If it is cast when ur first shell wears off and 30 sec has not passed yet, the shell dissapears immediately.
However, when a bishop casts shell, their OWN shell skill is put on a 90 sec cooldown.

Sorry if it is a bit hard to understand. It's kind of hard to explain the process here.

For hero's will questline, there is a mostly outdated guide on maplewiki called Jezzarules cleric guide. Everything is outdated but the section on Heros will is still accurate as the process hasn't changed much over the years.

@Business Putting the extra points into mp would be better for any mage using card sets. 3 mage card set gives %mp-->to range I believe.

@IsGamer Yes Hero's Will does require a quest line to get. I would suggest putting a suggestion of collecting 3-5 Miniature Pianus before doing it tho or attempting it during 2x.

Really nice guild man! But there are some things.
I think its better to put the leftover points in HP instead of LUK. You already get tons of luk from equipment and such. I think its more usefull to put points into HP, for higher level bossing.
-You could mostly die without Magic Guard on, making up lots of MP potions to be wasted.
You could put in somewhere in this guild that you suggest them to get a jr. boogie familiar. It recovers all the MP you are using. When it is close to run out, go in the cash shop and you can re-summon it.

And you could further add to the pro's of 2nd job, that heal is awesome at scarecrows and jesters. If you use heal, it attacks the mobs under you and on the same platform. If you jump and heal, it attacks the upper platform and the platform they are on.

But, a really nice guide. Gonna follow this one if im gonna make a bish
You can max doom while cutting door and booster since they just add time. It would be 7 door, 7 booster, and max doom. I don't want to steal anything from any guide, i wanted to be original, so is better if i put some info that happened earlier and i wanted to make this guide according to tempest updates and incoming big events, and yeah, is poor visually, but i try to make it as clear as possible. Also, i know some things are missed, but i am trying to make updates as soon as possible, because i have other things to do and i can't be stickied to this guide all the time, so i edit it according to certain info and updates, soon there will be hyper skills for all the other classes, so i will be making an update of it as soon as it comes.

you cant do certain codes unless you have guide making privileges, so you are stuck with syntax you have already used. and no matter how good the guide apparantly you don't get stickied (i'm looking at you mr. basil).

mines out of date but you can steal info off of it if you please, it explains things far better than you do.

Updated for thing to do. Removed some points u have included in ur guide. This has potential to become a VERY good guide. Keep it up! Last edited 1/8

Intro and 1st job: -It doesn't matter what order u max in cause these first 30 lvls go by remarkably quickly. As long as u have everything maxed except energy bolt, ur good to go. Also, mp pots is not a problem at all because u won't need magic guard until 90 or later and after that, if u get a je boogie, u mp pot usage will be close to 0.
-Also the substat requirement is not needed for empress equips either.
-U need to add that by fourth job, we become one of the tankiness classes because of magic armor, invincible, magic guard, mw helps with defense, adv bless for even more def, shell, infinity, and heal.

2nd job: -mp eater should be maxed directly after heal since it helps with the mp trouble.
-holy arrow should have a least one point in it the minute u make job adv. Reason is that lvl 1 holy arrow out damages max claw and u need it for mushking castle.
- when u say holy arrow is horrible and if u have low accuracy it will make ur life difficult, I would like to remind u that level difference plays a MUCH bigger role then accuracy nowadays.

3rd job: -note that we have one of the highest critical rate and mastery in the game.
-after hyper skills, u can cut holy magic shell cooldown by half
-Ressurection of the hoblin king Pq is an easy way to get magic rock. Mobs have VERY high chance of dropping them.

4th job: -Angel ray needs to have at least one skill point at lvl 100 assuming u get it then. If not, then u can skip over that part but do tell us that Angel ray needs at least one skill point in it ASAP. As mudane as it is, ar is still our main attack.
-Don't put one point into buff mastery and leave it alone. If u put a point into Buff mastery, u need to max it within the next 3 levels. Reason is that it takes a high level of buff mastery for the effects to be noticeable.

Grinding 10-30: really nothing to say here

Grinding 30-60: -Mushking castle should be rated at least an A+ since it is the BeST training spot from 30-40
-U really shouldn't take on scarecrows until at least close to 40 since u will miss most of the time.
-Add that u should take down marbas before lvl 40 since he drops the marbas hat that gives a whopping 12 int and will last until u can get a zak, czak, or empress helm.

Grinding 60-100: -hate to break this to u but Selkies and slimeys and MP3 are the same thing. Just thought u want to know. Unless they changed it which I doubt. Anyways, worth checking.

Grinding to 200: -Add master death teddy into the list. They spawn in HUGE numbers. Rating would be an A and population would be E* cause there are people who hack as train here especially during 2x. Plus, they drop the angelic blessing recipe and are a good spot til around 120.
-Big one here. U should continue to grind at LHC for best results. Yes, I know it can be boring trust me. But this is the spot to grind til 165 where u have a choice to make LHC or SH (explained below)
-Henesys ruins population should be E*. Mostly, u can find quite a few people (+ hackers) during 2x or during good events.

Well, is as you really wish, because nobody uses these skills (ecept cleric) on 2nd job (for example magic claw), and you can just keep putting the sp until you max all before Energy Bolt
