The Story Of The Awkward Kisser
Whenever I would see posts centric to dating/relationships, I would always mock those people and laugh. Now I'm in the same situation, only more awkward.
And I'm not 13.
Anyways.
Today I went on a date.
After dinner, we went to my house to watch a movie.
I lured her into my room, closed the door, and dimmed the lights.
We watched Metropolis, which is a utopian/dystopian movie about artificial intelligence and other good stuff.
The girl seemed kinda bored so I held her hand. She didn't pull away, which was good.
Then she leaned into me and I figured it was a good time to ask the question.
Me: "So how do you feel about dating?"
Her: "Um good. I go on lots of dates."
Me: "No, I meant like us. How would you feel about being my girlfriend?"
Then she said yes and all was good life was good.
And then I asked if I could kiss her and she said, "Go ahead."
Well, we were both sitting on the bed so our faces were leaning against the wall and for the first kiss, I missed her lips.
I got her upper lip instead along with some saliva, and then she moved in for another one and we continued for a third.
The kisses were short and sweet but unbearably awkward.
Am I a bad kisser?
Uh but yeah, just wanted to share this so for those who are feeling bad about themselves, you can feel a bit better reading this painful tale.
I was going to post this on tumblr but she follows my tumblr so yeah... can't post it there. Figured basilmarket would be the best alternative.

2/3 of Basil hasn't even gotten a kiss, be happy. =]
I was lucky and had a reasonably experienced girl for my first kiss, who helped me get used to it. Tip: Keep your hand on her face so you control where her lips are and she doesn't surprise you by moving.

I doubt she cares about that if she's letting it happen, I doubt anyone cares, I could be wrong.

Oh and, it couldnt be as worse as @Uruchai: 's first kiss.

Great, thanks for the advice.
And yeah we watched the anime one that was in Japanese with English subtitles. We're both nerds so she really loves that stuff.

I feel quite better after reading your post.
I'm thinking about practicing with a pillow. I always laughed at that technique but I think it might help.
