I want to shoot myself

You know when you have awkward moments and after it happens, you keep replaying in your head over and over again?
Well yeah, that's what I did today. It didn't help that I had three of them in a row.

Awkward moment #1:
My old English teacher waves to me in the hallway. I go over, we talk, she says she misses my presence in her classroom.
I say that I miss her... diet coke.
She says 'What?'
I am sort of panicking at this point and say 'I miss the way you look super happy whenever you get a diet coke'
I realize that I sound really creepy, almost to the point of student-likes-teacher-goes-to-jail-creepy
I walk slowly away, watching her face twisting into some sort of a painful grimace.

Awkward moment #2:
Then I hear my friend greet me in the hallway
Delayed response, I turn around after 10 seconds or so to wave and say 'Hey' back
I am waving to a random asian girl I have never seen before. She looks really taken back
I walk to physics and facepalm myself, hard. My friend asks me what's wrong, I tell him, he laughs
and laughs
and laughs

Awkward moment #3:
I go to work, some demon- I mean, child- has spilled his drink on the floor.
I go to clean it, I bend over, and realize that I have forgotten to put on my belt. I end up flashing my manager with my boxers which are not the most fashionable ones I own... they are bright purple.
My manager doesn't say anything.
I change the subject and then go to the back, sit down, and facepalm myself again.

It's been a long day today.

Tbh, I remember other peoples' awkward moments more than my own.

When i think of these moments that relapse in my mind, I try to think of ways that I can improve them, so the next time I come close to encountering the same mishap, I'll know what to do to get out of it. Also, what cutie said is true.. if you're tired you'll be less aware of the situation and tend to care less, like i've noticed that i tend to get into embarrasing situations more often when I'm tired, but then again, I don't care when I'm tired.. all I think of is wanting to sleep lol.

omg i know what u mean.. I hate these moments, they just always stay with u.
Like today, I was walking in the hall with a friend that i don't talk to much but after we finished our conversation.. we had nothing to talk about and kept walking and I just kept thinking "say something to get rid of this awkward silence" so I thought of something to talk about and I was like "Hey.." but then we were at the end of the hallway and she said "I have to go to this way, cya"... lmao -facepalm-.

Gah.
I always get awkward moments, almost every day.
And then it replays over and over in my head.
and I feel like crap.
And then sometimes, a REALLY awkward moment that happened to me will replay in my head a few weeks later.
And I feel terrible, again.
I feel your pain.. but I um, smiled when I read your first Awkward moment..

Haha, wow three awkward moments in one day? Usually its only one or two a day for me. Don't worry, we all get those. The second one isn't so bad, but the teacher incident might be a bit strange o_o

I hate awkward moments like those, I can remember some even a few years back and remember how stupid I sound and it keeps replaying, tormenting me, lol. One incident I really regret is back in freshman year of high school, I met a girl who I knew back in elementary and she tried to start a conversation with me and asking me about things back in elementary, I could barely remember her and one of the first things I say was "I don't remember you", and the bell rings, I just awkwardly wave at her and leave. Shortly later I realized how rude and dumb I just acted, especially since I kinda thought she was cute too, I messed up my chance to know her again.

I did something similar today.
I was with my girlfriend after school.
I saw a teacher coming, so I yelled, "HEY MRS _____!"

She got closer.
Her: I'm not Mrs _____.....
Me: Oh. -hellaawkward-

It's pretty bad when you're talking to a big group of people and then you try to say something funny. Silence ensues. And you try and cover it up. Happens to me occasionally.
