bishops have good damage. but you probably just wana leach on rope and listen to people say

It depends how much u trust ur party
For me, I would leave them to fend for themselves in almost every boss and only buff when its about to run out / shell and heal for when they are lagging

In pot lock areas I would keep their hp above 50% and buff whenever is needed before going back to doing w/e im doing (dispelling,healing,attacking)

Scar,targa,zak,cwkpq,any pq bosses, ht,cht,pb,vl,any area boss, arkarium I would let them fend for themselves and bless/heal only when they are under 50%hp :o

Empress, I would keep their hp at 100% and buff more often

I'm an old bishop so this may or may not be biased, but bishops will always have a place in the party. If you're demotivated, then I suggest playing a new character whilst keeping your gear intact. Then come back later to see if you're still up for being the best bishop you can be. If you're still discouraged, then sell your gear.

35k range lets me hit 300k per line on ar pretty easily back then n.n

Ignore them is how I would deal with it since i like my bishop too much

I made a phantom for the link skill... And even though it only took about 2 hours to hit lvl 70... I wanted to stab my eyes out
I actually stole cleric and mage skills just to survive till lvl 70 on my phantom.....

The link skill is worth it though 100% critical rate (technicly 106% but it capped)

1st of all if u see a phantom using Adv bless or hs at training with party i would say that, but none does that cuz they go look for bishops for their party. they rather use (self buff) because they can get Adv bless n hs from bishops... so think about it, btw if they want hs or ab they should come to u, when ur in the middle or else.

People always have a tendency to blame the support classes in any game when something screws up that could even remotely be their fault. When people ask you to chase after them, well... Personally, if someone asks me for SI and isn't right next to me, I tell them to come get it. If they don't, then I don't cast it until we meet up. I do the same on any class with buffs. I'll go to them when I need their buffs, I expect the same if they need mine.

If people disrespect you, either leave or deal with it. Personally, I don't care about training so I leave most of the time. You can always try to get them kicked if it's that major an issue, but a lot of kids tend to treat Bishops like robots. Don't worry about them, just ignore them. Or if it bugs you that much, like I said, leave.

rope bishops are being killed off rapidly, either become a full fledged bishop or die like the rest, theres no room for a do-nothing bishop.

First off a phantom would have to steal hs, door, dispel and shell from 3rd job, res and ab from 4th to completely replace us. Then in return would have to sacrifice debuffing hs or ab from the whole party just to use any other skill. To much work for a phantom unless they are replacing the so called rope hugging priest/bish that they are acting like now.

Then don't be one of those bishops/phantoms that rope hang and HS.
Actively go out and seek your party members who could use buffs. Don't expect everyone to climb onto the rope with your or say "HS pls". Keep track of HS/bless and when it's about to run out, go around and cast it.

You could even go attack. I don't see anything wrong with a bishop attacking~

Edit: Also note that phantoms can never replace bishops. They can be makeshift HSer and Blessers but other than that they're limited. Not to mention the phantoms I run around tend to use buffs that benefit themselves. Not many want to bless/HS when they can use rage/HB/karma and combo attack. Unless you're a 110 phantom trying to get a party...that's a different story.

Only Bishops who leech are going to be replaced by active Phantoms who gimp their damage by having HS. Being able to run Combo Attack is a huge benefit to their damage, the only reason they wouldn't run it is because there is no Bishop present.

If you're an active Bishop, you have no worry. The party skills you possess are good, and even if a Phantom steals them, he's gimping his own damage to take your place. By being there you let a Phantom be an attacker instead of a buff mule, which means more overall damage for the party(Especially if you attack).

The only thing Phantoms did is make it harder for leeching Bishops to get/keep a party. An active Bishop should have little problem doing so.

bishops have higher survivability
people would still rather have bishops over phantoms- even phantoms will want bishops over other phantoms
bishops are pretty strong- 4?% x3.
higher crit than phantoms

If you are actually getting convinced of that nonsense, you should probably leave the brotherhood.
