Marksmen get really boring. It's just snipe snipe snipe snipe snipe snipe snipe snipe snipe for the rest of your life. Statistically, Marksmen are the strongest but I personally think WH is more fun and not far behind in damage. Their mobbing is good and that new backstep skill is pretty f*kin handy dandy. Feels awesome not having to turn around or jump backwards in order to attack and move back at the same time.

And yes, Marksmen tend to be snobby. That's how it's been since RED.

Marksmen hit hard and hit max damage pretty easily with the least funding (in comparison to other bowmen classes). They also have top notch avoid and a multitude of defensive skills that make them useful to boss with. The one drawback to a marksman if anything is that they only really use snipe and pierce (and hookshot I suppose although I never personally messed with it nor found it to be of much use) and game play is pretty cut and dry and repetitive.

I've never mained a wild hunter post red so I'm not too familiar with the most recent updates.

Basically, marksmen are sort of like the tanks of archer classes given their high avoid rates. They are also strong, have pdr boosting abilities, and are great bossers (although marksmen resistance is pretty lowish and they get seduced pretty often / have to deal with status conditions). Also, marksman gameplay is pretty simple but gets boring because of the lack of versatility.

I haven't played a Marksman but in my opinion i find Wild Hunters better at bossing since we can switch between Snow White for Stance or Armored Crimson for damage reduction and elemental resist either of which Jaguar would be good for bossing on top of that we have Call of The Wild which reduces damage dealt to us and boosts our avoidability chance and we also get +20% boss for Wab Hyper Skill Passive and Backstep is somewhat useful for certain bosses. Oh and Wab is fun to use!

I have both of them and honestly marksman are easier at bossing. While Wild Arrow Blast is insanely fast and constant it can royally screw you at bosses with damage reflect </3

I'm pretty sure that Marksmen have a lot more firepower than WHs, but I enjoyed my WH a lot - it's very mobile, and the different jaguars give nice benefits (except the plain ones, but who uses those?).

OT: Both classes have their pros and their cons, and it's not just 'this one is better than that one'.
But, if you're as narrow-minded as someone else in this thread, just go with a Marksman, you'll fit right into their amazing community.

Annoying bratty marksmen can solo every boss in the game. Don't know about wild hunters, but people generally stay away from them for being a terrible class.
