A Str to atk ratio question
How would I know if I have too much str or too much weapon attack from reading the str:atk ratio?
My situation as of right now is that my ratio (when self-buffed) is 1:7.3 and I'm not sure what will be better for me in the long run. I'm split between having to do 2 different options to improve my drk. One is putting 2% str nebs on 1 or 2 of my equips. Some of my other equips have 1% str nebs and I don't want to take out the equips that have 1% neb and then switch to 2% (well, right now I don't....). My other plan was to buy chaos scroll of goodness for certain equips. Mainly my overall, my shoes (if I decide not to go with tyrants after the empress shoulder is released) or my hat since they have either an invincibility neb or a 1% str neb. Now, assuming that money isn't an issue but it's an issue if I were to get one of the options I gave earlier now and the other a few months later, which could be better with the ratio I have? Correct me if i am wrong, but i feel that Hero's have a specially low attack range.. i have 170% Str with around 320 w.atk at lv 179 and my range is 46k clean..
So with all that in mind.. my STR:ATK ratio would be 3.17:1 =S. How do I get more attack lol w/ like 20m atm? Used mesos to add more +str on my equips and face acc/eye acc and %str shoulder.

Depends on the ratio...if you don't know how to do it, refer to the comments above mine

Yeah....I learned my ratio is muchhh different after what shinku told me how to get the real str:atk ratio. 1:3.5 just means for me that I have not so much str as I expected to have but I do have a lot of wep atk which leads me to
@above: which is yes, I have a 190+ w.atk weapon and the 2% neb increased my range by 1k....I guess it would of been much less if I focused on scrolling w.atk on my empress gear.
Just get a good weapon with good (175+) wep atk, then start spamming %str

One question, can you tell me your total Str, and -if you can bother- total weapon attack?

use all your buffs.
divide your str by your %str+1 (i.e: 99% str is equal to 1.99)
use that number.
and you should focus on whatever is cheaper at the moment xD
anyways, since doing this calc will probably push your ratio down to 1:4-1:5 ish, the 2% neb would be better than 4 attack.
I kinda edited it so it says that I can get one of the options to upgrade my equips now and the other later just to see what I can focus on for the next few months.
@darkspawn980: Wait....so I can't use the total str from the stats? I guess I gotta do the math for str manually. >.>
assumming you have ONLY 1000 base str (as in, no str from equips, MW or anything) 2% str would be equal to 20 str, and with your ratio that would mean that you'd need 3 attack to beat one 2%str neb, since i'm sure you have more str than that, the ratio is probably 4attack to beat a 2% neb
so it's up to you, what's cheaper? gaining 4 attack or getting a 2% neb? if money wasn't an issue the answer would be "do both" since they're not mutually exclusive.
and just making sure, but you got that ratio without including your %str in the calculations right? it looks kinda high.
Just get the most you can of everything. When str starts adding less than you would like it to, focus on getting more attack and vice versa.
