Bosd and reboot I'm typing this at my cousins house to avoid any future confusion. Now a few days ago, my computer was working perfectly fine. So when I woke up the next morning to find that it wouldn't boot properly, you can see where I was a little confused. Basically, my computer starts to boot, but once it gets halfway through the windows XP loading screen, it flashes blue for a second and the whle computer reboots. It does this constantly and I don't think I can find any solutions. Just a few questions. How can I fix this (if its possible), will I be able to keep all my files (photos, school files). There are certainly lots of important stuff on my computer and I'm sad to say I've never backed it up on an external hardrive. Any help is

BsoD and File Recovery Hey there guys. A few weeks ago, my computer ran into a BsoD error and it hasnt been used ever since. This is due to the fact that everytime it gets halfway through the windows XP "loading" screen (before the log-in screen), a BSoD appears briefly and the computer restarts. My question, simply, is: Can I fix my computer without wasting heaps of money. If not, can I at least retrieve my files to put onto a external harddrive? Note: I dont have the windows startup disk, since I dont know where it is (had this computer for over 5 years now). I'm looking fr a new computer but at the moment I have to settle with borrowing my brothers laptop from time to time. Any help is appreciated, thanks. :)
