@sanjupm I know right..
Sick and tired of dumb idiots picking their class based off DPS/DPM and end not not liking the stupid class.
It's never even accurate.. Why are people so dumb it hurts. Just play what you like..
@fradddd: Thats fine however most charts are either inaccurate or based off a very certain particular situational standard, with certain items/skills/non moving target..etc List goes on. Its just not viable to follow those charts at this day and time.
@sanjupm: Judging class strengths by the chart alone isn't viable. However, judging it by the chart and by an understanding of the class and boss, and by your own skill, you can have a fair amount of viability. So the chart can be useful if you use it correctly.
@wellness: you don't get my point. The whole legitimatacy of the charts are based of very situational purposes. Sure it can be used to help figure the viability of ones classes DPs but when it's actual foundation is very situational, the final judgement is also very skewed.
+1@sanjupm: If you're saying that the charts are incorrect because of the situations they use, then you're basing your reasoning on the assumption that the situations cannot be replicated. Of course, there are many situations where they can't be, like the case with solo (without help) Kinesis, but they can be replicated. You can have a stationary target in the game and be able to micromanage all of the skills and buffs in order to keep up damage. In order for you to say the judgement is very skewed, you would have to show how the calculations are incorrect or how the situations cannot be replicated. You'd have to show there is an error in the system. That's why I can't accept your argument as it is currently, and I continue to propose that the charts are useful in deciding class strengths when you understand the mechanics of the game and the class.
