Fire Demon: A Newfound Respect Earlier I made a thread complaining about how Fire Demon isn't as entertaining as it used to be, but I actually found a use for it after I decided to take a break from LHC and complete my first Time Temple quest! I was strolling down memory lane and trying to think of efficient patterns to fighting the Memory Monks only to find that the Fire Demon + Big Bang combination was the funnest one I had. Once you splash the creatures with fire demon, they begin to lag, allowing you to fully charge a Big Bang attack before the monsters start to counter. FD drops the monsters' fire resistance by a stage allowing that skill to be much more powerful than what it would be like before using FD. Of course with a high leveled
I liked the old Fire Demon Better :( Before Big Bang, I had a mild enjoyment of making enemies ice-weak then pounding them with Elquines. Now I have a max Fire Demon post-BB and I have to say I'm thoroughly disappointed. This is primarily because the omnipotency of Paralyze completely overshadows Fire Demon. Even when I trained with my paladin friend one day (who used fire charge to take advantage of fire demon's ability) we came to discover that it was more efficient for me to spam paralyze and lock monsters down. When Chaos patch comes, I really hope we get another Hot Time Event. That way I can eradicate Fire Demon and pursue a max level Maple Warrior (easier said than done I know but still..)
