How do clean slate scrolls work?
Do I have to use clean slates right after I fail a scroll or can I wait until the end. For example if I am scrolling something with 7 slots and I fail my 3rd scroll, do I have to use the clean slate at that point until I get that slot back or can I continue to scroll the other 4 slots and then use a clean slate scroll at the end.

You can use them whenever you want, as long as you have failed a scroll/hammer.
