One of the five heroes who sealed the Black Mage, the thief hero is coming back to the Maple World.
Hundreds of years ago, he was famous among the wealthy merchants and noblemen. He deliberately left traces when stealing, and even then people did not even know who he was. They called him Phantom.
Throughout the Maple World, Phatom was honored. However, the death of a close friend caused him to choose the path of becoming a hero. After a fierce battle, he and the five heroes sealed the Black Mage and saved the Maple World However, due to the curse inflicted by the Black Mage, they were trapped in ice and went into a deep sleep. The curse had the same effect on Phantom.
And now, hundreds of years later, the unrest of truth and falsehood engulfed in Ereve revealed back Phantom. A triumphant smile, a confident attidute, and splendid elegance of the past! How and when he awakened from the Black Mages curse? You cannot tell. Obviously, a goddesss bless brought him back to Ereve.
A friend who loved the Maple World has came back to defend the Maple World and battle the Black Mage a second time. The Phantom Thief is back.

[header=Canes & Cards] Canes & Cards [/header]

Phantom has two weapons! The first is the Cane, his main weapon. Phantoms attacking skills use this, and in addition, the Cane can change into any type of weapon, which is used when Phantom steals skills from other classes. The secondary weapon is the Cards, which are thrown by Phantom in some of his skills. These Cards can have potential.

Starting from his second job advancement, Phantom has a Card Stack on the side of his screen. This Card Stack is used in the beginner skill Judgement which can be used when the stack is full.

This stack starts off at 20 cards in second job (because of Blanc Carte) and increases to 40 cards in fourth job (because of Noir Carte).

[header=Steal info] Steal Info [/header]

Use your beginner skill Steal Skill. Your mouse will turn into a cross hair, this is called Steal Mode! You must then click on an Adventurer in your map (yup, you can only steal skills from Adventurers)!

Clicking on an adventurer will open up the Target Skill window. This is where you choose which skills you want to steal! There are a couple of drawbacks, you cannot steal passive skills or summons. Also, you can only steal skills from jobs in which you have gotten points into the Talent of Phantom Thief skill.

Once youre done, you can see your stolen skills by using the Skill Management beginner skill! As you can see, theres a limited number of skills you can have each job. 4 for first and second job, 3 for third, and 2 for fourth. Once you steal a skill, it will stay with you until you yourself choose to delete it. It doesnt matter if the target leaves the map, if you log off, or anything! Also, if you ever run out of room for new skills, you can right click one of them and choose Delete.

The level of the skills you steal depends firstly on the level that the person you stole it from had. If they had level 1 Hyper Body, you would only ever have 1 Hyper Body unless you found another Dark Knight to steal it from. Secondly, it depends on your Talent of Phantom Thief skill (each job respectively). If your Talent of Phantom Thief II skill is at level 13 (like mine was in this screenshot), then any skill you stole would be a maximum of level 13, no matter the skill level that the person you stole it from had.

Note, each Talent skill is seperate, theyre not upgrades. You can have all 4 on your keyboard at the same time~

You can choose one of your stolen skills to be set to your skill window. Your Talent skill will then change icons to the skill you choose here! However, if you switch set skills after using it, the first set skill (if it was a buff) will go away (meaning the effects will not be active anymore). For example, if I used Haste then switched my set skill to Magic Claw, my Haste effect would go away.

Stolen party skills will work on party members, and even better, the restriction I stated above about changed skills being nullified does not apply to your party members (their effects WILL stay if you change your set skill), therefore Phantom is the ultimate buff mule! You better choose your favourite 4 first and second job buffs, 3 third job buffs, and 2 fourth job buffs if youre planning on using one as a mule~

Steal Skill: When used, you will enter Steal Skill Mode, which allows you to click on an Adventurer (except Dual Bladers and Cannon Shooters) and choose which skills you want to steal in the Target Skill window. You cannot steal a passive skill, a summon, or a movement skill. Stolen skills will stay with you until you decide to delete
them yourself

Skill Management: Manage your stolen skills, choosing which to be active and which to delete. You have 4 slots for first and second job, 3 for third job, and 2 for fourth job. However, if you use a skill then switch active skills, the effect of the first skill will disappear

Judgement: When the Card Stack is full, this skill can be used. All the cards will be used up and a buff will be given for 30 seconds depending on the card drawn. Fortune Card 5% critical chance increase, Misfortune Card 10% item and drop rate increase. When used, 5 Blanc Cartes are thrown.
Judgement (upgrade): Automatically upgraded at fourth job. When used, 10 Noir Cartes are thrown

All I can say is, make sure you get an SP reset scroll after the Hot Time event.
Isn't that because you can actually USE charge until 200?
This looks like a long-term build rather than a level-up-fast build. O-o

I won't be really using either to train with during third job (during fourth I will use Phantom Charge and Twilight because they go well together), I will use a stolen mob skill to train with. Unless you can give me a concrete reason as to why I would max out Coat of Arms versus Phantom Charge, I'm going Charge.

@shakar9696: Perhaps, however nobody did. Nor is anyone doing it in the Phantom section at this moment. So might as well get someone to try their best for it ^^. And to be really honest, I haven't really adjusted any information since I started playing my Mercedes (I think I have enough experience at level 193). Perhaps a few skillbuild adjustments.

@shakar9696: Excuse me could you rephrase your sentence, I don't really get what you are trying to say.

I haven't read the guide above and don't know the quality. However you don't really need to have played a class to write about it. Sure it makes it better to have personal experience, but here, I wrote most of the below with just looking things up:

And some stuff: why not max the skill stealing first? And why would you not max Coat of Arms, your ONLY mobbing skill? Do you play KMS? If not, why make a guide?
I didn't play KMS when I made my Mercedes guide. Everything came out just fine. True, I needed other sources but seriously...

What? okay that's cheap. a fragile high-dodging class becomes a tank. <3

Why do you not max Coat of Arms? Because it sucks. Plus, his other skills in third job are better. I'm not exactly sure why he gives priority to the second job "mobbing" skill either. Personally, I'm rushing Talent in all jobs except fourth (because Twilight is good) in order to steal better mobbing skills than the ones Phantom inherently learns.

I think the guide is decent and competent. There obviously needs to be more builds are more elaboration. You also need to fix the formatting since most of what you used doesn't work on Basil.

This guide rather sucks... mainly in 1st and 3rd job.
And the 4th job build as well.

No training guide which is something most players want when their actually looking for a class guide.
And not very well written out.

Well, i just took a quick read and what i can see is:

- talent of thief is maxed FIRST ASAP, the main thing is phantom speciality is this.
- no other skill builds
- no item build
- no training guide
Tho ican see this guide is mainly for skill build and steal skill is good, not consice nor cOmplete
