Screen is crashing. I made a thread about the same thing earlier this month in the Non-MS tech, but I only recieved 2 replies. So, I'm trying my luck again here, since the problem has risen again. So, this screen (Samsung SyncMaster P2250) "dies" every 40 or so minutes for 2 minutes. The power button is on, but I can't turn it off. I can't see anything on the screen, and none of the buttons work. The comp still works, because I can still hear my music when this happens. This happened for the first week of september, then it stopped for two weeks. Now it's happening again. Graphics card is NVidia GeForce GT220, if that helps/ What's the problem, Chat?

Error 8100030d of Windows Live Messenger. Question covers it. I know my firewall is not the problem because the program was working just fine yesterday. So, I decided to go to the "corrupted contacts file" troubleshoot. It tells me to browse for a file (C:Users<Windows logon name>AppDataLocalMicrosoftWindows LiveContacts) Problem is, this file doesn't exist on my computer (and yes, I am substituting <Windows logon name> with my actual logon name) I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and it still doesn't work. I can't access Messenger on hotmail.com, and both my brothers are able to use Windows Live, problem free. How am I supposed to fix this?

Nattly wont leave my browsers alone Title. A few days ago, I downloaded a song called "08 g'maury (heavenly)." The file I downloaded was an .exe file (I know I'm a dumbass and I shouldn't have done this). But I wasn't thinking that at the time, because I did get my song, which is still there and works great. However, the homepage to the two browsers I use primarily (Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox) have been changed to a site called "nattly.com." Visually, this site looks just like Google, but without the Google Logo. And on both browsers, when I try to reset everything to go back to my default home pages, upon restarting the browser, this nattly thing reappears. Aside from this, there aren't any problems that I can te

Something weird happening with my browsers Title. The two browsers I use are Firefox and Google Chrome. Anywho, about a week ago, I downloaded something (foolishly), and this thing changed the homepage of both browsers to this:;shortcut=true&tid=2938. I removed the thing I downloaded (an external downloading program to download things straight from MF), and changed my home pages back to their defaults for both browsers. Despite this, whenever I open the browser, that same link returns. I've checked the homepage settings for both browsers, and both are set to default, despite the fact that this thing reappears regardless. Any ideas of how to fix this?

Right alt and left alt dont do the same thing Title explains my problem in a nutshell. I'd give examples, but accented letters are blocked on basil for one reason or another. So, (before today), when I used left alt + 0233, I'd get an accented "e." No, when I use left alt + 0233, I get an accented "u," which tells me that left alt and zero have stopped working together. idk why. It now only works with my right alt key. It was never like this before, And if anyone could help that would be great.

More comp related problems. Bizarre problem in regards to Google. Whenever I search something, and click on the first non-video link, I get redirected to a site like , or YellowPages. Also, when I search something in Google images (a Wallpaper for example), not all images load. Just the first 20 or so. If I right click an image, and select "View Image," the image is never as large as it's supposed to be. It's always some sort of thumbnail. This problem occurs with all of my browsers (Chrome, FF, and IE), and only with Google. Other problems I am having with the comp are: I am unable to edit my HOSTS file I am unable to install any anti-virus/anti-malware/anti-spyware attachments on FF The computer is taking longer than normal to s

Windows 7 occasionally failing to boot [header]Before anyone says anything, I have put this on WhatTheTech. I am just putting it here now because WhatTheTech is slow. Effective, yes, but slow. I wanted to hear your opinions in the mean time[/header] My problem now relates to startup. It began today. Yesterday, before going to bed, I turned off my computer. There was that customary shield next to the "Shut Down" button, indicating that updates needed to be installed. Nothing unusual about that, I proceeded to shut Down, and the updates installed, as per usual. Only unusual thing was the amount of updates - 19. Shut Down completes, without any problems. I then go to bed. Today, wake up, go to school, the usual. Come back, turn on th
