i'll explain it simply, there's 3 parts to getting to HT.

first is the whole "transform into a cornian" shenangan, this gets you into HT cave 1.

to fight HT, you need to get to cave 2, to do this you need to have the "badge of a squad member", if you don't have this one, you need 5 people to accompany you, and do what's known as HTPQ, finishing this gets you to cave 2.

every tim you want to HT, you'd have to do the above, that's why people get the badge of squad member, so that they can skip the HTPQ part, to get the medal, you do the HTPQ until you reach the part with the skeletons, and get 3 items whose name escapes me atm.
besides those three items, you need the pianus, zak, and papulatus certificates.

you hand all these items to the lady outside, and boom, you can skip the process to go from cave 1 to cave 2.
but you still need to do the cornian thing every time you want to enter cave 1.

@Egnirys27: sorry i'm still a little confused... so let's say I do the pq once whenever, but I don't have the dragon squad badge, would I have to redo the pq over and over again until i get the badge?

@Egnirys27: -_- what's pap certificate used for then? and I just checked her, she doesn't have anything other than the quest to kill horntail and the one to transform into a cornian o.O

@Egnirys27: What NPC? and do you only have to do that PQ once? and are you sure Pianus badge?

You need to do the pq before fighting HT, to do the pq you need 5 others to do it with you
