Why Dark Flare?

I have to admit i like the skill dark flare. It's very useful for killing bosses that seal, stun, and any boss that does damage really. However looking at it I ask myself why do thieves have this skill? For the skill to activate it requires us to be hit. Thieves are supposed to have high avoid. Why are we getting hit so much in the first place? I would rather not get hit at all than do some extra damage. It's a cool skill don't get me wrong, but I feel like it's out of place in the thief class. I guess it's a good things since the avoid formula changed. How else would we hit snails with it. What are your thoughts?

Another idea would be to go out and give us a skill that gives us a damage reducer.
Shield Mastery

@ts: Dark Flare still misses though?
I agree but maybe Nexon ran out of ideas...
They could have, instead of Dark Flare, given us a skill to increase our HP more or something....I know we have Shadow Resistance....but still..=p

Another idea would be to go out and give us a skill that gives us a damage reducer.
