quick problem decision
ok so I'm playing pokemon soul silver and I was wondering which electric pokemon is better
Jolteon or Ampharos
not competitive wise
edit:one more thing
is Vaporeon a good water type pokemon?
or should i get a slowpoke/psyduck

Get Ampharos and Vaporean. Ampharos is such a gangster.
I beat Red with a lv 55 Ampharos and lv 56 Typhlosion.
Jolteon is just for its looks.
Ampharos.
For Battle frontier, Jolteon. Hit with Charge Beam, baton pass into something else.

Ampharos is going to be more durable but a bit slower, and it'll have easy access to a good spread of electric moves
Jolteon is much faster but sacrifices some def/hp, and it doesn't get as many electric moves (or they come a lot less often) iirc
