So How Does Flame Gear Work?
Hello. I have just become a 3rd job Blaze Wizard, and I put 1 point into Flame Gear for fun. So I tested it out on Pigs and the initial Gear killed a pig but afterwards, while the Gears were still there, the pigs were passing by as if nothing was there. Then they eventually took something like 730 damage for a few seconds and the gears disappeared... but the pigs still remained. And I am pretty sure Pigs would not be able to survive 730 damage. And now I am quite confused.
To make long story short: Can someone explain how Flame Gear works? Thank you

Ah. So it is rather there to assist you in killing higher leveled monsters rather than outright killing them? That makes sense. Thank you for the answer.
Poisons and burns and such take monster to 1hp, but never kill it.
